We Stunk last Night

We really stunk up the place last night, losing to Sanford 8-2. Our guys looked like they just didn't care. We got one run off a guy who has a 11.4 ERA and he struck out a career hig 8 betters. To mkke matters worse, we lost Joe Sanders with a broken jaw (Hit by a pitch). It was cold and windy and just a miserable night all the way around. Our pitcher, Burnside, looked like a sandlot pitcher and the coaches never came out to even talk to him.

Auburn managed just 2 hits. They were both home runs. It was a poor effort.

The question is: How are they going to respond and will they compete in Baton Rogue this weekend?

This team has a lot of growing up to do in a hurry. Coach Paw has his work cut out for him. Losing Sanders doesn't help, but no one is hitting the ball right now except the HR at times. Coach Paw has been force feeding them about small ball, but they just don't seem to be able to string together base hits.
