AU vs. UT Tiger Walk 2009

It's a load of crap. This damn country is too concerned with safety and $h!+ never happens. There is always a risk to everything. What about the rain delay at Auburn for the WVU game - safety didn't seem to be an issue then and we were literally and physically shoulder-to-shoulder. Hell, why even have an upper deck? Somebody could slip down the stairs and fall off the upper deck and into the lower bowl. Oh crap, if that happens, we mine as well not even allow fans in the lower bowl that have an upper deck because somebody could fall ontop of them. Hell, somebody could slip down the stairs in the lower bowl and twist their ankle. Damnit, we shouldn't even have fans at all because they could throw stuff at the players from the stands.

When is this country going to wake up and realize that $h!+ happens, but it hardly ever happens, and everything warrants a risk. If you are at risk of having a heart attack at Tiger Walk, you probably shouldn't be there in the first place. And if you choose to, which you have that option, then that's the risk you take. Even if you are perfectly healthy, same goes.

I actually agree with the basis of PC's argument as it is limitied to the Tiger Walk. Risk is inherent in any public setting. If Auburn managed to have a Tiger Walk in Knoxville before without a catastrophic happening, chances are we will be so lucky again. This is nothing but a chess move by Tennessee. They have crammed too many seats into that stadium. If something happens in the upper deck it'd be hard to get to someone there too.

Great news! I met an Auburn couple on the way to the game yesterday and they said that they knew of a very large group meeting up an making the Tiger Walk huge. I'm glad that came true.

I'm glad there was a Tiger Walk and I hope whoever made the decision to try to stop saw all those people and ran away scared. Auburn won, beat the mighty blow hard Kiffin.

Shouldn't UT's pals over at UAT inform them that it is not a good idea to try to disrupt a Tiger Walk?
