  1. Congrats to him and his family. Sort of surreal to have been in the stands to see his dad step onto the field to spark a comeback IB win and then FF to now when his son's had a wild career at 2 universities and then gets drafted in the 1st round.

  2. Big time here. GxK was entertaining, but to be honest, Godzilla - 1 was far more my speed. I'm glad the Legendary monsterverse is doing well, but I'd prefer to see it not go all Transformery with the action.

But at least TOHO has my back.

(And still waiting for the Stranger Things crossover)

  3. Not going through all pages , SIAP,  but here are a few I think may get overlooked

Can't vouch for where to find them, and some may have to be bought outright, as they're pretty good 1-2 season long gems.

    Freaks and Geeks

    Wonderfalls.

    John Doe

    Pushing Daisies

    Farscape

  4. ATL's bye-week has come and gone, and Arthur Blank's words still are as confusing now as they were when he first spoke them concerning Dan Quinn's future.

Or not, if you're resigned to the reality that Blank and company aren't going to make any sort of a move, because they've convinced themselves of how smart the " Upper management " for the Falcons is and they just need to do MORE of what they're doing, because … they should have won the Super Bowl ? IDK what else to think.

Blank declaring right after his team went to 1-7 that they have " 2 weeks " to think about things is truly stunning. No, Arthur, you have 2 weeks until Atlanta plays another game. That's NOT the same as how long you have to figure things out. Now you have just one week, and what's changed ?

Injuries were the scape goat last year. What's the excuse for getting blown out,  time and time again, and in the midst of a 6 game losing streak ?

Speaking of Joker, has anyone seen it yet? Any good?

Meant to post this, kept forgetting....

I thought Joker was one of the best made movies I've seen in many years. That's not to say it was one of my favorites, but rather, I still can attests to it being very well done, extremely well acted, and quite a refreshing change from the ' amusement park ' huge budget movies we've been fed now for the past 10+ years.

I read this on another forum, by some poster, not a  film critic. It summed up my views nicely, and I think captures the feel of the movie.

If Joker were a painting, it would be a Picasso during his Cubist period. Distorted but familiar. Sad but you can’t look away; much like a car accident - we just have to see: did anyone get hurt. This is how Joker lives, on the ugly side of life. But it’s fascinating. It is so well written, not a wasted word or a wasted scene. And, above all, NO preachy dialogue

We were undefeated in November '87 going into the big home game against the one-loss Seminoles. Can anyone recount what went so wrong in that loss? Were they really that much better than us?

Coming off an emotional stomping of the Gators ( remember the heartbreaking loss in Gainesville in '86, when we were up 17-0 but ended up losing 18-17... ) and right in the midst of Amen corner, it was just one of those games.

And then Tracy Rocker, unbelievably still in the game late, for absolutely no reason at all , gets his knee injured and is done for the year. Think he'd have had some impact in that Syracuse game, but oh well.

  7. I've focused less on recruiting this year as I had in years past. Sounds like while AU didn't land a few really needed / wanted players, the class still is one many others in the SEC wouldn't mind having.  3rd best in the conference, and room to add 1 or 2 more, should something develop. Nice that 8 are already enrolled, so the next step is to get the rest in, situated and ready to hit the field.

If they are in state & committing to AU or Bama I'm sure it can easily be done.

Hats off to all involved. Seriously, that was some quality video for some HS kid who's not played a down in college. They played the 'family' stuff just right, and it doesn't hurt that S.J. comes off as pretty darn impressive. Hope the best for him.

  9. Caught up on LEGION. Still not 100% sold on it yet, after 3 episodes.  Certainly more 'adult' than anything Marvel's done on t.v.  ( Not including the stuff on Netflix )

Aubrey Plaza , in more of a bit role, is fun to watch. And Jean Smart is looking surprisingly well preserved.

Man seeking Woman is more of a FXX guilty pleasure sort of viewing. Much like Archer.

This is probably disrespectful to women, but all I could think of when watching the march was: normally there is one woman who is angry for reasons I can't understand, but during the march ALL women were angry for reasons I can't understand!

    Viva la difference!

They want men to see them as more than just a sex object... so they BECOME a walking sex organ to drive home this great injustice !

Exactly what it the point of dressing up as a vagina? Is she trying to be what she thinks Trump sees her as? Does she want Trump to grab her face?

:gofig:   There were many of these sorts of costumes at the all important march on Saturday. From hats, shirts, headgear to full body mascot costumes of...well, you get the idea.
