But for the last 18 months it has been about relationships to RW.  All the interviews were about how well Bama connected with him and his entire family.  he was pushed away from Auburn b/c Harisn was so awful at relationships and talking to people.  Hugh has gotten us back to 50/50 before Saban left and rebuilt that relationship.

Now....Saban lied to his entire family.  TRob is Gone.  The WR is Gone.  He has no connection to coaches at Bama.  If it took Hugh 10 months to get a relationship back to salvageable...we expect DeBoer to get it back in 3 weeks?

We'll see if it is about relationships or not.  Seems like it is more than anything.  It's going to be a back and forth 3 weeks.  Ignore 99% of anything reported.  We get the last visit. Let Hugh close

I HOPE it turns out to be about relationships. I hope that our current WR's can get RW to commit and come. I hope Freeze pulls it off and gets RW.  If we are talking strictly about a business decision that these young men are making, I do not see us in the top of that decision based soley on our QB situation and add in the fact that we did not go to the portal and upgrade the position, I can see RW going elsewhere.

With Cam and Perry on the field with him, I could scheme an offensive game plan.

Yep.. no doubt. If CHF gets RW to come to Auburn with our current QB situation, I will consider it one of the biggest gets ever. I just have doubts that he will come to Auburn based soley on our QB situation. Although I will add that Coleman and other other guys are recruiting RW hard so hopefully all of that comes into play.

  3. RW is an elite athelete. He has to look at our QB situation and wonder who is going to get him the ball. College football is all about "business decisions" now for these kids. No one should blame them. I certainly would not blame RW if he went to Texas with the QB they have and how Sark can scheme for him. Of the teams on his list right now I would think we are in last place to land him.

I actually don't think the line is as bad as people make them out to be but I am not so sure by next year they will be up to the standards needed to make a PT proficient.

Yep I agree the line has gotten much better but still not where we need it to be and I do not think the OL is PTs problem nor will it be his savior.

  5. I like the way we looked prepared and I thought the play calling was great. Gonna ride with my man TJ.. I thought he looked really good and did some very good things and made some very good passes. The two INTs were bad but nothing that can not be fixed. Ashford is electric and his play brought a lot of energy. I am excited for his future. I thought the pass blocking was great and the run blocking was better. The D looked good.. cam Riley was impressive to say the least. Expecting to see mistakes corrected next week. I like this team!

Sorry, I know this is off topic..I haven't been on the forum long, only about 6 months.  But something seems to have changed with the overall vibe on the board. Then, I read posts, where people are unhappy with how things are going on here. Is that the general consensus or is it just me

IMO, many people got a bitter taste in their mouth after the Harsin debacle at the end of the season and some posters on here were literally posting and pushing out right lies about CBH.. many people just got tired of it. This is also a down time and I think things will start to crank up again when August rolls around.

S/O to my guy @AuMarine, He also gets my insider tag and low key been predicting this all the way, while also being objective.

Not an insider at all.. Just been around this program a long time.. this has played out before with other coaches.. rinse and repeat. The coaches have changed but the common denominator has not.

I didn't see it what did it say? He's one of the most athletic guys I've seen. Played basketball against him a bunch

He didn't say anything about Harsin.. It was more aimed at Gus and Kodi.. just to paraphrase he said he reached out to Auburn several years ago about becoming a GA or something and was told to look for a position where he was.  Also He did an interview with The War Rapport guys and said Gus nor Kodi would call him back about a 5 * WR recruit he wanted to push to Auburn.

I will try to find the entire tweet and post for you.

I would imagine that the University is following its own procedures with regard to investigations of employees, meanwhile trying to negotiate Harsin's departure. Evidently those negotiations aren't going well. Each day this drags on, the less likely Auburn is able to fire him for cause, IMO. The fact that they are allegedly negotiating with him at all sends a pretty strong signal that they don't have a good case.

I agree and I highly doubt he will settle for anything less than what his buyout is especially if they have nothing..and I am sure he is trying to get money for his assistants as well..
