I would argue they are both of importance, one being more doesn't mean the other isn't at all. The OC is meh cause HF I guess doesn't really need a traditional OC. But the DC, it seems weird to say to everyone you just don't have the talent and it'll take time to get things on track, but then the coordinators aren't given time to build and teach the defensive philosophies they use.

All a moot point as OC doesn't matter and Titan said the DC was a team poison type personality.

Also, I'll defend Gus when someone says he's the worst ever. But that ain't the same as enjoying the never ending OC carousel thing

I have no clue how Roberts got along with everybody, but did anyone see what Asante said yesterday?

Petrino is not a 3-star coach. The guy has won more than he’s lost at every college he’s been an OC or HC. At ARK and Louisville, he set single season win totals that will likely never be topped in our lifetimes.

It's been 16 years since he ended his first stint at Louisville and over a decade since he coached at Arkansas. He was fired from Louisville in 2018 after the team went 2-10(Lamar Jackson was the only reason he was successful in the couple years before that) . He then went to Missouri St, where he went 5-4, 8-5, and then 5-6. I'm not putting his old ass on a pedestal these days.

This isn't an argument for Bo, but someone 3 years out of HS with multiple College falls and spring practices under their belt, should be better than he is.

Did he go through spring practice at Oregon while playing Baseball? He went through it here last year obviously.

Nobody’s answered my original question - who has had a successful career at a big job after cratering?

If we want another Chizik or Coach O so then that’s fine. But do you expect Lane to guide us for 15 years? I don’t want to keep going through 2012s and 2022s after someone turns us into a dumpster fire.

Look at who made the few deep catches we had?  The prettiest sister at DG is still not beautiful.

4.5 high school hand timed is more like 4.8 electronic.  When did you see someone take an awful angle on JJ?

Kess has an incredible coach.   For sure.   He should be a first rounder.

Again, Peques may be a key contributor for Ole Miss in 2022, but he simply wasn't for AU in 2021.

    Yeah, dude's slow af 🙄

    Figured.

I am not diving back in, but ZC is more accurate than BN at every level. The only thing Bo has over ZC is he is more mobile and I think he maneuvers his throwing motion better around defenders. That is all.

Calzada completed 56% of his passes last year. Nix completed 61% of his passes

Our "best receiver" is VERY replaceable. Kid had more drops than a bottle of Visine. Defense will be just as good as last year if not better. You can look at returning players and what the portal brought in and see that is true. And Bo? Lets be honest, he was a liability at times. A game manager like Calzada might even be an upgrade.

How is Calzada a "game manager" compared to Bo?  He completed 56% of his passes, Nix completed 61% of his. Calzada had 9 INT's(in 12 games), Nix had 3(in 10 games). Calzada  got sacked 17 times, he rushed 35 times for -9 yds. Nix got sacked 13 times, he rushed for 57 times for 168 yds. What constitutes a game manager to you?

About half of the NFL players having degrees is pretty good, I guess.  Most of them did have to spend 4 or 5 years on a college campus after all.  And the NIL and unrestricted transfers are indeed great for the players so why not a real professional league for an 18-yr old who just wants to play ball while his body gets prepared for the next level?  That would also be great for some players and the nfl could use some of their bountiful money to pay for it.

But the NFL doesn't want that.

Why do you think this strategy would have landed a person that was more certain to be successful than a guy that had run a successful program with multiple conference championships in his tenure? Could you have found a host of candidates? Of course. Would they be more assured of success? Hardly. Sarkisian just finished a year at UTx  that wasn’t exactly a resounding success after being OC for one of the most dominant national championship teams in the past 20 years. Harsin may not be the guy but I’m not sure that your plan would have guaranteed success either. OU is about to find that out with Venables just like UF did with Muschamp. Specifically, who do you think that we should have hired?

The privacy of personal medical history and records is supposed to be sacred. It's why HIPPA exists.

It's disturbing how many authoritarian policies and philosophies are being accepted into the mainstream. People in this country don't know history, and have never had their freedoms revoked. Therefore, they don't have an appreciation for them.

Tell us what HIPPA is and describe it in detail and how it matters in this case. You can also do the same with HIPAA.

I think Harsin is just not going to give in to the reporters who keep asking him about the vaccines..

Thats about it, nothing to read in between the lines. He won’t be badgered into making a statement.

Keep asking him about it? He hasn't been asked since the preseason. Based on the the University policy changes recently, it is a completely viable question.

    But I don’t think we’re that far from being a top 10 team……..

    1) a couple of studs at OL

    2) a couple of studs at DL

    3) wr coach - done

I know losing to UGA by 24 sucks, but that was probably the best team we’ll play this season.  And minus a ton of drops, we were scrapping

Not WR coach, WIDE RECEIVERS!! Julio Jones' WR coach didn't make him, AJ Greene's WR coach didn't make him, Cooper Kupp's WR coach didn't make him, Anthony Schwartz coach didn't make him, Rondale Moore's WR coach didn't make him, Drake London's WR coach didn't make him. If you're talking about someone that gets the best talent here, you have a point...otherwise, no

It definitely could mean a multitude of things. Genuinely. But like I said, it's an odd still taken from a video.

I guess it could mean anything, but the picture is literally him diving into the endzone for a TD, so not really odd that he wants to keep the "same energy" as scoring a touchdown.
