It seems weird that we haven't "pushed" for starter-level guys. And thus far, a guy Omier has much greater ability than Chaney.

I mean, I wonder if Hugh likes what he's seen from Walker White enough to think he can go as a freshman. I know his reviews have been stellar, especially recently.
It's a big roll of the dice, but maybe why he's saying the QB competition has been reopened. If White's as good as advertised, maybe Hugh rolls with PT and WW, not HB.

Eli Holstein, redshirt freshman quarterback from Bama, also transferring. Interesting possibility. That said, I’m guessing we’re probably good with our younger QBs and are interested in more experienced guys. -
