If the woman who was injured during the street racing wreck truly has the texts she claims to have, Georgia is in a world of hurt.  She alleges that coaches and recruits were present at Kirby’s house when alcohol was consumed.  She stated she was told to take recruits out on the town in Athens. If true probation and losing a head coach is the least of UGA problems.

This has been tried before at Arkansas.  Failed.  Ask Ken Hatfield and Danny Ford how working for Frank Broyles the AD that used to be the HC worked out for them.

Agreed.   They made booger McFarland a national analyst while Chiz was coaching.

Very strange that ESPN did change McFarlands nickname. Its spelled booger but It’s sounds offensive in many parts of the country and it other English speaking countries.

I’ve always been struck by this fact. If Rich Rod had accepted UAT hiring offer, and then fired 3 or 4 seasons later.  Saban would probably have never coached at UAT. They came so close to being a program that used to be good long ago like Army or Navy. UAT will claim they withdrew the offer to Rich Rod when they learned Saban was available.

The people involved are long gone, but they have a history of not getting a coach they want and then running the coach off who agreed to sign.

2nd big domino falls.  UAT and soon UGA will have coaching changes.  UGA may to providing AU players who don’t want to play under probation?   If wins get vacated due to using certain players in games, UGA may vacate championships too.

I’m always puzzled when ESPN turns into a cheerleader of a particular coach.  They tend to do that for some coaches who work at ESPN and then return to coaching. Such as Myers and  Usually it doesn’t work out. I don’t think Sanders ever worked for ESPN, but they sure talked him up.  Probably because he’s doing a lot of commercials for companies that sponsor ESPN?

We tried that in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We were told several times that a head terrorist or 2nd in charge was killed.  They just promoted others to take their places.  After 20 years the Afghan army ran off allowing the taliban to take over as US troops left.

In the Ukraine Russian war it’s become a WWI type stalemate. Neither side can seem to knock the other out.  The US and NATO are playing by rules to not force Russia into going nuclear. Thus this ground warfare drags on as both sides drop artillery shells on each other. Shells we manufacture and ship to Ukraine.  If nukes weren’t involved the war would be over by now. NATO and the US are tired of paying.  Israel has a plan to eradicate Hamas in Gaza if they are allowed to see it through.  What to do with Gaza after this is over is the real problem.   Turning policing of Gaza over to a neutral country or the UN peacekeeping force might work, but it will take several years..

Music City Bowl was giving each player a wrist watch and then an allowance to pick gifts from off a list.  The NCAA allows each player to get $550 worth of gifts.

FSU has forgotten how they protected their star player back in 2013 from all the problems he got into when he should have been dismissed from the team. They even got the State AG involved.  

The old claim that air conditioning allowed Congress to stay in session all year has some truth.  

The founders set up a 2 chamber Congress as a compromise between states and citizens. They didn’t trust citizens to make political decisions and wanted some dysfunction to help prevent an all powerful central government.  Now both chambers are elected by citizens and federal government can collect taxes from those citizens. 

many national governments and one US state have one chamber legislatures or at least a token upper chamber that has little power.  

If you want to fix the dysfunction or make it worse, age and term limit elected federal office holders.   Also limit all campaign contributions to come only from individual us citizens who are eligible to vote for a federal candidate.  No PAC, Union, out of state, etc donations allowed. Candidates would only listen to their potential voters. Yes, that takes a constitutional amendment
