The Braves had a good team last year. They don't need to add much if anything right now. They can add through the deadline for a better return.

Also, Liberty Media has been a great ownership group. They keep their hands out of the operations and they allow the Braves to spend what they make.

This all true,but every NL East team has improved their roster this off season,with  mabey the Phils as the only exception.

  I think we need another high OPS guy for the outfield,I like Martin but we need some more pop in the lineup.

I think we do too, but I'm not so certain that we need it before the trade deadline talks start to heat up. I think we can get more out of the guys we're willing to trade then versus now.

Yeah we had a good team despite off years by a few guys.

One thing to note, I heard yesterday that Washington is the leading candidate to land Prince Fielder.

I think Only or Gammons said today that the nationals executive he talked to didn't consider Fielder a priority. And apparently that's because there's sorta a clog there. Moore and LaRoche are first basemen and apparently Zimmerman will have to move to 1st in a few years. A long contract would interfere with that.

If it weren't for the Zimmerman thing, I could see it working out. But they've sank a lot of money into him so it's hard to see them investing long term to where he project to end up.
