Long Snapper, Brian Brinsfield deserves an honorable mention in 93. Jim Fyffe literally voted him 1st place in the Heisman for never having a bad snap that season to Etheridge or Daniel, who were both invaluable to 11-0. Not saying Lindsey is a "Gus guy" or is in Gus' "coaching tree." Merely stating Gus already put enough faith in him to hire him once, so it's no shock he would do it again. Gus never hired Hand at Tulsa. They were merely colleagues hired by Todd Graham, who ironically, also hired Lindsey, thus that small Gus fraternity is alive and well.

His 1st choice was obviously another "Muschamp"...a proven guy outside the Gus tree. Otherwise, he would have hired Lindsey almost immediately after Lashlee left. No?
