I have to confess a dirty secret. I get a sick pleasure from venturing over to opponents message boards and reading their game threads after we beat them by 20+. I noticed a recurring theme while doing so this year. Non-Auburn fans HATE Dylan Cardwell.

I would have expected to see a lot of hate for KD and CBM but a lot of opposing fans list DC as their most hated player in the league. I guess it’s all the flexing and other theatrics after making a play. I feel like if they knew what a good kid he actually is they would see him more the way we do, just a kid out there having a blast playing ball. Happy to have him back.

My impression on Johnson's theatrics is it was all about him. My impression of Cardwell was like, hey everybody, join me in the celebrating the play I just made.

bamr finally visiting Auburn was big. For a state wide point of view

    But IMO

1983 Auburn 13 Georgia 7 was more important as this win put Auburn on the national map, after being a non factor since 1974. Georgia had won the SEC in '80, '81, '82. With a 33 and 3 record over those 3 years. And was 9-0 entering this game against Auburn. The win ended Georgia's 24 game home winning streak

The odds are so long of Auburn winning at Tennessee even with a healthy Williams, I certainly would not play a less than !00% Williams. Gotta stay focused on the big picture. Let him heal until the big tourney.

It’s a six point spread and UT is at home.  You obviously don’t understand odds.

Sure I understand odds. It's not about Auburn covering the spread, but of winning the game.  Auburn is 4-4 on the road while Tennessee is like 14-1 at home. And Tennessee is better than Auburn. On the other hand I would fully expect Auburn to win If the game was in Auburn.

Those fast break, behind the back passes by CBM made me cringe.  He would have had a 1,000% better probability to score if he'd just go straight to the hoop.  Those were very bad decisions.

Ditto. He was trying to make the Sportscenter Top 10 instead of just getting 2 points. I’m ok with a circus pass when we’re up by 15+, but not trailing. Idiotic passes.

Nor do we need Johnson impersonating Jordan with the tomahawk slam launched from the free point line. Williams needs to tone that thinking down also.

It’s not a mindset it’s a reality. Big difference. Several ranked teams have lost to Un ranked teams all season on the road. It happens every year in college basketball. This is not some Auburn only problem you are trying to make it out to be. It happens to blue bloods with decades of basketball excellence every season. It’s something our fans are eventually going to have to get used to. The melt downs after every road loss are so tiresome.

    Yep.

    Take North Carolina, for instance.
