Why is deboer considered a good hire for them? Serious question… his background suggests a deluxe model of Bryan harsin .. not a cultural fit whatsoever.
You are so right, Chief.

I imagine Carnell would like to be an Offensive Coordinator soon. This may be influencing his decision. I’m reminded of when Dameyune Craig left.

I was troubled bu a few other moves regarding AU football such as: The airplane trip to Louisville to chat with Petrino, Terry putting Brother Oliver on his staff and the aftermath of Tot’s last year, and probably more.
We never seemed to have any issues when Shug or Dye coached. But it does seem that the times have changed, and the money.
War Eagle. We’ve just got to stay positive.- 1

I remember in midget football when the coach would say “get in there number 0 and field the punt”. Of course we only had one number 0. How is the head coach supposed to know who is fielding the punt if we use multiple numbers? I guess we’ve retired so many number at Auburn that players can’t have their own unique number? Change the system. A pass rush would have won the game today. That’s ALL.

I remember when ole Moses took the rock right around Pharaoh at right end, made a man miss, and took it 20 yards for the score. Man oh man. Those were the days.
Are you talking about Harry Mose? LOL

I didn’t see any replays that were meaningful. Hopefully this Saturday we will see some big plays. They should also let one or two players be showcased as “student-athletes”, similar to last year.

Where are Bobby Dodd (Grant Field) and Sanford Stacium?

The Bear used to say something along the line of, If you’re going to quit I’d rather you quit in practice than in a game, or was that Coach Dye?

Because AU was throwing a dumptruck full of money at him.
Harsin is a bad recruiter and horrible people person, but it's ultimately AU's fault for hiring someone who was so unqualified and unready to manage a big time college football program, not really Harsin's fault for accepting a promotion and big raise in salary.
It was of course his fault for the lack of effort he put into the job....but i feel like AU may have been able to sus that out about Harsin if they did a more thorough review of him before hiring.
I put bad hiring decisions on the President and/or Athletic Director. In the Hars case it was on a fellow named Greene.

When their coach (Murphy) pointed to the sign during an interview and talked about their tradition I thought it only fitting that Maddie Penta won a classic pitcher’s duel against the tide, in their Rhode house, against their ace, Fouts. Maddie is already a legend in my mind. I love this team.

A lot depends on injuries or surgeries that need to heal. Losing recruiting time may also be a big deal for a new staff. But then I doubt that we get an invite anyway. Plus, it will be basketball season. 🙂

Idk. I've been called a lot of things by people who know more about the creed than I apparently do. But I draw the line at Freeze. I'll give up supporting AU Football altogether at that point.
So what’s so bad about Freeze. Is it the fact that he broke marital vows, lied to cover up ???

Hot take: the orange jersey fake out is the analogy of the Harsin era. Big build up to fall flat. What a cluster.Cue the…”but who would we get?” and the …”but we have to give Harsin more time for stability” crowd.
At least we didn’t get blown out wearing orange jerseys.

I agree with Maddie and Carlee with Aspen in the mix. Glad to see her coming back. I’ve got to support my Baldwin County girls.

Hope they give her the midweek game off. If she's gonna have to pitch every weekend game, I don't want to wear her arm out during the non conference games. Amazing just how good she has been for us this season.
At this point in the season the midweek games should be more about hitting than pitching anyway. Of course we need to win the game.

Oh they actually reversed it, but then she was called out on a steal attempt. May have been her first caught stealing. She looked safe there too. Yeesh. Put it away.
She was safe on the steal attempt also. Those of us on SEC+ can’t back it up and freeze frame but the umps have to do a better job with their equipment.

Reminds me of riding the train from Atlanta to Auburn back in the 60s. The conductor would call out: Lay Grange, West Pint and then Aurburn.
