Yeah, double edged sword. You want our coaches to be successful but if they are, potentially getting poached is a real thing. Maybe coaches will see we get them in the NFL so we will start getting all the really good ones.
Seems like a lot of gnashing of teeth to me. If on field production doesn't make a marked improvement this year then it really isn't going to matter, and it improves then it's just a matter of signing the checks.
Maybe, just maybe, we're trying to poach a successful DC from another program? I could see how that could take time. Of course it's probably wishful thinking because who doesn't love hiring a young unproven guy?
What is the skinny on Durkin? I know he's been around but what defense did they run at A&M? Anyone that can give a little deeper explanation on why he isn't a preferred candidate?
Not knowing Bo or his family, I would guess he was brought up with the "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything" mantra. Maybe that doesn't pertain to college QBs but I certainly get it.
