  1. Wonder how long JJ's gonna give him...? Should know by Monday I hope. Like I said its up to higher powers now As in BP wants to be here, JJ wants him here, fans want him here but we need certain people to sign off?
  2. He is Edmond Dantes. He is my father, and my mother, my brother, my friend. He is you, and me. He is all of us.
  3. ST just tweeted all signs point to Pearl
  4. Wow that was a great game tonight! Almost teared up a little watching Chipper.
  5. OMG!! Did anyone see the Dodgers closer take that line drive from Mac to the face?!? Glad dude is ok. Glad we made a rally too!
  6. JJ sent to the minors to try and get his stuff together. http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2012_04_23_atlmlb_lanmlb_1&mode=recap&c_id=atl I remember thinking how stupid it was to have Jurjens on the trading block this spring. I hope it didn't screw with his head too much, and I hope we didn't make a mistake pulling the trigger with trading him.
  7. Livan did a great job of beating the Braves his whole career. That's why we signed him, Wren appears to only know about/ cares about getting players that have a good history against the Braves. Livan hasn't really been impressive in his 4 appearances this year. He's pitched 7.2 innings, but given up 4 runs all earned with 11 hits.
  8. Who knew Centrum and Alka-seltzer could cause withdrawals?
  9. Good game tonight. Really great for Chipper to come and provide a spark. He may be old as dirt and may have lost a step or 3, but the man knows how to hit.
  10. He looked good in it at the end of last season too . Looks like the Braves have the same problem as last year. Can't buy a hit with runners on. Just had Pastornicky on 3rd with one out. Nothing comes of it.
  11. Looks like it will be Pastornicky as opening day SS, and Delgado will be the 5th starter. http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120402&content_id=27841950&vkey=news_atl&c_id=atl
  12. To be honest I don't know a lot about either player. It actually seemed like both teams were exchanging very good prospects. If anything though, I'd say the Braves have a slight edge given that Francisco has a little MLB experience and performed well during that time. But, again, I'm not familiar with Hoover or Francisco. Here's what we got: Francisco is lazy, injury prone, overweight, error prone, and strikeout prone. But he does have a power swing. Here's what we gave up: Terrible deal. OMG we could have gotten so much more for Hoover. From what I understand Francisco's work ethic is non existent, and he's only likely to put on more weight. This is a direct quote from Dusty Baker "Hopefully, he'll (Francisco) find happiness and get it together in Atlanta,". But he does have some pop, and maybe a change of scenery will do him good. I really don't understand Wren. We have plenty of pitching and we could have put a guy like Hoover in the bullpen that could also start spot. Instead we sign Hernandez, and trade Hoover for a project.
  13. He should be back the first week of May right?
  14. I like that signing assuming he was cheap. Although I think he adds a lot less for the Braves then he would for most other teams with less pitching depth. $750,000 is what's being reported. When I first heard it I thought he was going to be the 5th starter, but apparently he's coming out of the bullpen.
  15. Oh and apparently we just traded for signed the pitcher who was just cut from the Astros, Livan Hernandez.
