  1. Phillip Duke has been doing interviews and podcast on You Tube and Instagram for years before he was hired by 247 as a journalist covering Auburn athletics.

Very good at what he does. Knows a lot of Auburn players personally and very tied into South Atlanta High Schools. Super nice guy.

Bo has been a good QB in his time at AU, with lots of room for improvement. Reading this board at times, one would think his play has been terrible. After all, he was voted SEC Freshman of the Year. Apparently new coaching, another year to mature and a different offense helped a bunch.

One other thing about Bo Nix, he's just now reaching the age/maturity level that most QB's need. Look at some solid AU QB's of the past. Reggie Slack, Jeff Burger and Dameyume Craig were all 4th year juniors before they became the starter. Jason Campbell was a third year soph before he finally won the job permanently and Ben Leard was a part-timer until his senior year. Bo is just now entering his 3rd year of college football. Some people, me among them, expected too much too soon from Bo Nix. His best is still in front of him.

Bingo!!! We don't beat Bama in 2019 without Bo Nix.

  3. Gatewood is a very good athlete. I agree Bartram is hurting his growth and his standings in the recruiting rankings.

Still the recruiting services (in references to their abilities) have him ranked much higher than his playing time warrants. The announcers last night were spot on. How you can leave the most athletic person on the Bartram team on the bench? Beyond my comprehension to be sure,

The other Bartram QB was good, but he was not Gatewood good.

Malik will be good but he is not going to beat out Sean.  Sean has been practicing this spring so rust should be minimal come Fall.  I'd be surprised if Sean didn't push Stidham for starter.  My question would be do you burn a year of eligibility for Malik at 3rd string or redshirt him and let woody be 3rd string since he's already had a redshirt year?

People are too quick to give up on Sean White. Do I think he beats out Stidham? No, but a healthy Sean White is going to make it much more difficult than some believe.

  5. Yes I know this. He told coaches and recruits at BCW he would be coming to AU. RE was another silent and he also told our coaches once again the night before signing day he would be coming to Auburn. Just to sign with UAT 12 hours later. When it comes to state of alabama kids I really don't put any stock into a silent commit especially with a kid UAT is after.

I know you know. The info was for the board as a whole.

You guys had me going. From everything I have heard Brahms will be wearing orange and blue. Both nothing is set in cement until that LOI comes in.

  6. From all I have read this kid is a great Talent. I thought by now he might have gotten his 4th *. When do you think he will be reviewed again by the different services?

ESPN has already given it to him. Only a matter of time until he is reassessed by other sites. May be during the upcoming season.

  7. First of all Welcome to the best family in the nation!

    Second WAR EAGLE!

    Third, welcome abroad.

Forth, Orange and Blue baby, Orange and Blue!

Fifth: He was offered by a lot of good schools, including Bama and Auburn. He may have been under the radar by the recruiting services, but not by team recruiters. Rivals is now showing him as a three star, but expect he will get a bump.

His size and speed are impressive for a Weakside DE! Could transition to LB at that size and with that speed.

  8. Well to hate Bammer, you can:

Start at Cry Baby Sabear and work your way down..

    1. Shoot each other over a ball game.

    2. Do a mash pit on their competition and come up kicking them.

    3. Name their children after a coach, a mascot, and a battle cry.

    4. Paint their trailer wheels and shutters houndstooth.

    5. Claim national championships when they are not even ranked in the final top ten.

    6. Publicly embarrass the State of Alabama at every opportunity.

    7. Get drunk, scream "We bowling baby, we bowling", kiss the coach, and get behind a wheel of a car.

    8. Threaten the lives of their players and players family.

    9. Poison the competition's historic landmarks and claim it was because of something we did (that did not even happen).

    10. Blame us for things that they themselves did (http://deadspin.com/5780360/big-alabama-fan-catfish-strother-thinks-an-auburn-supporter-might-couldve-poisoned-his-oak-tree)
