  1. Trying to figure out how to look at this. Technically, he was the #2 in yards and #2 in TDs as a receiver, but was the #1 in receptions. That being said, he's probably the best (or perhaps most established) slot guy on the roster.
  2. How does AU get hosed by basketball officiating more than anyone?
  3. Are we not in the bonus? Why no free throws?
  4. Real question...does anyone know who the (presumable) kid is that yells when the opposing team makes a shot EVERYTIME, EVERY GAME? Please tell him to stop!
  5. This is a win IMO. Hope he hits his stride in returns this year.
  6. They hired him because he was the best available candidate that wanted the job. Him calling the plays, running the offense, and recruiting is the reason he has made a name for himself in the first place. He simply needs to go back to doing what he's known for.
  7. If you look at the pre bowl game interview Montgomery and Roberts did, every time Montgomery would start talking, Roberts had a smug look on his face.
  8. Seems like a lot of dropped passes from everyone on Washington tonight.
  9. Posted in the Rivals Recruiting channel, but has anyone heard anything on the USCe transfer Tanner Bailey?
  10. Resurrecting an old thread because I didn't see his name on any transfer thread (mods feel free to move/delete as necessary). Saw that he changed his bio to Auburn University on Locked On Auburn in the chat and checked it out...
  11. My wish is that CHF will play the guy that gives them the best possible chance to win. I'm not specifically saying that guy is currently on the roster, and I'm not specifically saying that guy is not currently in the portal. What I am saying is, only looking to the portal for a QB will not work out for specific reasons. 1) There's no one AU can get that 100% increases their win total, 2) 1st year transfer QBs typically don't do well, and 3) PT is a prime example of #1 and #2. If you want to bring another transfer in to be the next PT, then fine. I'd rather CHF evaluate well in the Spring with who is here and sell out on him come Fall.
  12. So your stance is that literally any portal QB would have elevated the QB room, but it wouldn't be a gamble?
  13. Brother, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to understand your point of view. There's no ill will, I'm just having a conversation. I have asked the same question over and over with regard to your stance in pursuing a transfer QB and still haven't gotten a straight answer. I'm clearly aware that starting a young QB results in growing pains. So does having a new coaching staff. 1st year transfer QB will result in growing pains too - CHF stated that 1st year transfer QBs aren't overly successful and pointed out specific examples. So again, what transfer is/was legitimately available to AU that raises the floor?
  14. You keep bringing up PT as if I said he's the answer, but I didn't. As a matter of fact, PT is an example of how bringing in any of the available transfer QBs are equally as much a gamble as rolling with someone currently on the roster. Most people thought he raised the floor, but turns out he didn't. Are you suggesting taking the insane approach of doing the same thing that didn't work out last year? Or wouldn't it make sense to identify someone in the Spring and push and develop them? EDIT: Again, who is out there in the transfer portal would you suggest AU go after that actually upgrades the room?
