Shug and Pat are 1a and 1b, I personally think Shug should be 1a because he brought us the first SEC  and national title as well as the first Heisman.  Mike Donohue is next.

Probably my favorite Auburn player ever. Wore number 88 in high school because of him. For those who never got to see him play in person , you missed something special. Rest in peace Terry. Got his family in my prayers.

1. Final Four loss  We were robbed plain and simple

2. 1984 Iron Bowl  We had two chances to win - Bo missed the play call and McGinty missed the field goal.

3. 1970 LSU  Played in the rain and mud.  Weather was so bad that the scoreboard clock went out.  I still remember Wallace Clark trying to get traction in the mud down at the goal line.

I was there in section O. It would be a middle of the pack at best SEC stadium, but the campus and setting were beautiful. Fans were the same mix of good and bad you get at every stadium including ours.

Sorry, I was looking for info about a basketball recruit. I’ll move along so you can continue your intellectual discussion. 

The difference in those two ten year periods is that in the 80's, people feared Auburn.  Other teams may have respected us in 04 -14, but I don't think that they feared us.  Just my opinion.
