Hopefully this team can continue to play well without Chipper in the lineup.

I think this sh$$ is much worse. Brace yourself for a bad year.

Wow, I don't think I've heard any good news all year. Gives me a bad feeling, hope I'm wrong.

So I'd like to see the Braves open up the year with this lineup:

CF Bourn (L)

LF Prado ®

C  McCann (L)

2B Uggla ®

RF Heyward (L)

3B Jones (S)

1B Freeman (L)

SS Pastornicky ®

P

I like Uggla in the cleanup spot more than McCann because he has more power. I also like Heyward higher in the order in the 5 spot so opponents will hopefully have to give him more fastballs with more runners on base. Also, I think it would serve Heyward well to have an experienced, patient hitter behind him in Chipper Jones. Man, I'm ready for baseball.

Looks good but I'll be surprised if they take Chipper out of the 3 spot.

Until Heywood hits with consistency, I'd like to see him hit 6. I think we have to have someone who makes a lot of contact hit 5 so that Uggla will see some better pitches.

I'll eat my shorts if Chipper plays 140 games, but it would be nice to see.

Chipper says he will be coming back for the 2012 season. That's good news if he can stay healthy.

After he gave up the three runs last night he had a look on his face like he knew it was coming.  Glad to see him go but you still have to feel sorry for the guy.

Hoping for BJ Upton now. The Braves might be focused on holding onto the wild card now.

With Medlen pretty much done for the year now I think we need at least one more reliable arm for the pen.

Sorry but I wouldn't mind seeing A. Gonzales traded either - He is the total opposite of clutch. When he's up with runners on and two outs, that's when I go get a snack.

I hope this is a sign that the Braves can keep the same momentum they had going into the all-star break.

Will it not be sweet if Fredi is the Manager for the All-Star team next year and he snubs all of the Giants pitchers.

Do you realize the Braves are tied for 2nd most wins in all of the MLB yet still trail the Phils by 4.5 games - frustrating.

I agree, but the Phils aren't exactly tearing up right now.  If both teams play like they can its going to get real interesting.
