  1. College basketball is totally different than it was a few years ago. No way were Jacobi and Walker going to pass up the opportunity of going pro. I doubt if CBP even tried to recruit them to stay.robably advised them to go. It seems like a generation ago, but Broome and Kessler were in the same HS class.
  2. I'm not sure if we even take a good look at transfers from the power programs. CBP seems to prefer recruiting players from Mid level or lower schools, and has done pretty well for the most part. Besides being less expensive, these kids are working hard to take a step up. Kessler from UNC was probably just an anomaly plus a good relationship developed over several years. KD from UGA probably happened because KD's style doesn't really fit at many places. One reason for going hard after long shot recruits and making the final two or three for legit. 5* HS kids is it could give us a leg up if they decide to transfer after a couple of years.
  3. It was puzzling that a player with so much talent had bounced around with what, 4 teams? Sadly, now I know.
  4. In today's world there may not be a lock anywhere, unless maybe a legacy now and then.
  5. Good win. Widra is a very good athlete. For whatever reason she's seldom mentioned as an everyday player. I understand she was in a big slump last year. Our offense could use another power lefty bat. I sure hope she gets more swings. WDE!!
  6. With my untrained eye, Cobb seems like the most impressive all round back. But I trust our Coaches. They see them every day. Who knows? Coach Nix may adjust the depth chart after Spring.
  7. Both lefty pitchers too. Announcers, coaches and teammates will all probably get confused. Lol
  8. You nailed it Mikey. His minutes would take a hit with Tre becoming a rising star and the No.1 rated PG coming in. My guess is Aden might want a fresh start. Hope I'm wrong but it would make sense.
  9. I think we have a small enough QB room, so hopefully everyone will get plenty of opportunities. People keep saying WW will be good a couple of years down the road and seem to discount him for '24. The top ten rated '24 QBs (and White is no. 5 as I recall) they all think they are talented enough to win the job at some point in '24 season. If they aren't starting in a couple of years most likely will move on. CHF has invested a lot in Walker White and doesn't want to lose him. I just feel sure he and Hank will be given every opportunity. They've had his eye for a long time. I may be wrong (usually am) but I think Walker will be ready. And Hank just needed more weight and strength. He really looks poised. I'm excited about these kids. If nothing else they will light a fire under rears of HG and PT. WDE!!
  10. I thought we signed WW, 5th best in the nation.
  11. Interesting question..... I would think it depends on how committed and how serious this decision is deemed by our staff. I wonder how many 2025 offers are actually committable at this time? I assume KJ"s would be one of them.
  12. I always felt Salter quickly exited the portal when he found out AU QB job wouldn't be handed to him. He would have to earn it. That could change after Spring. I think Austin and Freeze want to focus with the young QBs (WW and HB) first. If they are not ready CHF would probably turn to Salter since they have a relationship already. No knowledge just speculation.
  13. Schrader was leading SEC rusher by about 500 yards, so it's possible for sure. Glad we will have him at Auburn. I will always support AU, but at the same time if he was my son or grandson I would encourage him to take a scholarship at somewhere like UAB or UNA. He would get a real chance there and with the transfer portal some bigger schools are always looking.
  14. Since he has only one year of eligibility, I can't imagine him going to a program with a No. 1 QB firmly established. The problem I would think is getting into school even with late registration to be eligible for spring practice.
  15. If we are not looking for a DC does that mean CK is a silent commit?
