  1. Robbie is a great athlete!!! Maybe too good. All his life he has been able to do great things on his own. Now in College it doesn't matter how good you are, you have to be able to play in a team atmosphere. You can see when he is in the game he still try's to do it all on his own and it just doesn't work.  Having George Pickens to throw to in high school made him look like a better passer than what he is. I'm sure he would excel if they could find another position to put him at. But QB isn't going to be in the cards for him.

People were saying the same thing about PT the week before. Except they were nasty about it. When Robby does it, they ease on down the road.
Just maybe the coaches are telling the QBs NOT to get hurt.
If one gets hurt, I’m not sure Geriner can step into a two QB system and succeed…

When you are in a close game and have a chance for a first down with just a little extra effort you would think your competitive spirit would make you want to give that extra effort. On the play I'm talking about he might not even have gotten hit if he cut back. He came up about half a yard short. I'll tell you the look CHF had on his face didn't say I'm glad you just ran out of bounds.

  3. I was really disappointed when Robbie ran out of bounds short of the line on third down when all he had to do was cut back and get one extra yard. It just seemed to me at that time he would rather not get hit than give that little extra. It looked to me like CHF was frustrated by it too. I think he thought he had the first down but in a close game you have to make sure.

Played hard. Were right there to win it. Have to make some plays. Have to coach better if you wanna win. That 3rd and 6 play (after it was going to be 3rd and inches) was brutal. That decision was the ballgame right there.

We are a few players away from being right in these things. But dang. It’s frustrating to see.

I’ve been watching some high school football lately, and our team is particularly good. I can look before the game begins and look at the players on each side, and I’m almost 100% confident who is going to win.

In college, I can get a pretty good idea because I’ve been around so long. There are times when I’m surprised (like hanging in there against Ga). But most of the time, you can tell by the athletes. We may have 2-3 nfl-abled players on our team. Until we get that number up to like 7-8, we are going to lose these games imo. We will be right there, close but not quite….until we get those players.

that does not remedy my opinion that our team doesn’t look particularly coached well.

I was very disappointed when RA was in that on 3rd down he came up a yard short on a run out of bounds. He could have turned back up field a little and lowered his head and made the first down easy he just didn't want to take the hit. I couldn't tell if Freeze was disgusted with Robbie or the spot. Either way that would have kept the drive going and who knows what would have happened. I see a lot of good on this team but stuff like that drives me crazy. That was purely a lack of effort on Robbie's part. You have to make sure you get a first down in that situation.

  5. Was it just me or did the UGA defender push down on our receiver on that interception. He was behind him and I looked a couple of times and it looked like our guy wasn't able to jump up because the UGA player pushed down on him.  Doesn't really matter now but I was wondering if anyone saw that.

  6. I tried to tell people last week that we were just not there yet and was told I didn't know what I was talking about. We have players coming in that should make things better next year but we have to be patient. Harsen left us in a place that we haven't been in a long time. Next year will be a step up then another the next year. I really believe in CHF. If you thought it was going to turn 180 in the first year you were fooling yourself or didn't realize the lack of talent we have at QB and WR.

Respectfully what makes u think Auburn can’t beat any middle of the road SEC team or alleged top tier teams. From what I have seen all of the SEC teams could lose on any given Saturday. The SEC as a conference is down. Auburn just needs to navigate this rough stretch. After that all games are very winnable IMO.
It looks ugly on the Auburn side because of penalties and turnovers. It’s really hard to gauge the identity of this team.

I hope I'm wrong but to clarify I don't think there are many middle of the road SEC teams . They are either top tier ( Ga, Alabama, LSU's) or bottom ( Vandy, Miss. St., Missouri etc.)  From what I have see so far we won't be favored against, TA&M, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, possibly Arkansas or Alabama. Of those I think our best shot is Arkansas. Maybe I'm just pessimistic because of the last couple of years but until we beat one of those teams I won't believe it. I do feel we are headed in the right direction I just don't think we are there yet.

  8. I hope my opinion changes this week but I just haven't seen anything from us that would make me think we can beat even a middle of the road SEC team. We have not played well in the first three games. I have a lot of faith in CHF to get things turned around but I don't think it's going to happen this year. Them 38- Us 16

  9. I would agree that it's easy to say and it's sour grapes if it wasn't something that was being talked about before he committed to FSU. I know I saw a couple of times before that this might be an issue. If the culture talk came up afterward then it would be harder to believe but since it was talked about before I don't have any problem believing it's true.

Dude's shoulder was so bad last season that he could not sleep yet you make such an asinine comment. You have no idea what these guys go through, Mr. Couch Potato.

I'm not saying he never gets hurt just saying he isn't always hurt when he acts like it. I've watched him for years. I don't doubt he is really hurt sometimes.

Anyone close enough to him to make that comment would not make that comment.

I'm not close to him personally but I have seen all his games in high school and now college and this is a pretty consistent pattern. I'm not saying he never gets hurt I'm just saying he has a tendency to act hurt when things are going bad.

  12. I think we will have another QB by the start of the season. Robbie has a lot of talent but unless someone can straighten out his head he is never going to get any better. I have watched him since high school and he hasn't changed a bit. If things go good he is always healthy and upbeat but the second something goes wrong he starts holding his arm or limping or something else. When he was in high school he had George Pickens who could catch anything close. When they scored a TD Robbie was the first one under the tent. When something went bad a coach had to come find him. I didn't see much change in attitude this past year. Freeze might be the answer for him though. We will see.

  13. The true test for Robbie will be when something negative happens. There is no doubt that he is a great athlete. When things are going good RA is as good as anyone the trouble is how he handles things when things don't go well. If he can come out and be positive when times are tough rather than slump his shoulders and get dejected he could be really good at Auburn. We will just have to wait and see.

  14. I would think that it will be hard for him to survive long term if this is happening after his first year. It's not a good look for the University if he hasn't done anything but they are making statements. At the very least Greene needs to be looking for a replacement even he survives this year. Whatever they do they need to decide quick.
