Yes, the wheels fell off extraordinarily fast and HF picked it back up but the story just isn't that black and white in my opinion. He's bringing up the record of Ole Miss prior to Hugh Freeze. Houston Nutt was the coach of Ole Miss prior to Hugh Freeze. That's why he's being brought up. Hey, by the way, if we want to talk about what coaches were left with, we wanna talk about the guy that came after Hugh Freeze or nah?

Well, you were talking in historical terms and stopped at the two bad examples. People are wanting to act like HF accomplished something never before seen at Ole Miss, yet just two seasons before he was hired it happened.

Why do you always exclude the two years they won 9 games during Nutt's tenure before Freeze?

In the four seasons prior to HF being hired, Ole Miss won 9 games 2 times and was ranked as high as #4. Nutt's last season was terrible, but so was HF's before he was.... ya know.... told to go away.

Baggage aside, why are so many people here convinced he's going to come to AU and win? Sure, he recruited well at OM but then he got busted paying them. Paying is legal now so what else does he have to offer?
