Killian Dane is the only one I'm interested in at this time.  Just haven't seen enough of the others.

likewise, not really interested in any of these from an AEW perspective.  Can make Impact, ROH, MLW and NWA stronger though, which is always a plus to me.

  2. I'd really like to see Strowman and Black move to AEW, the rest are meh for me.  I'd like to see more of Lana and Chelsea Green for obvious reasons.  i don't want the AEW roster to get overinflated.  they already really need the new show to give guys more air time.  and if they're going to bring in other talent, i'd like to see some of the top guys at other promotions rather than some WWE castoffs.

Impact, MLW and ROH could all really use any of these talents and it would make the whole landscape better rather than just one company.

  3. apparently Zelina's status is "up in the air" after the releases.  Strowman and Black seem like they'd be musts for AEW - nowhere else seems big enough for guys that high on the horse.  Lana could definitely come join Miro.  Ruby Riott would really fit the Impact women's division.  Murphy would kinda fit at Impact too.

Other than half of backlash I haven't watched live wrestling in weeks.  I listen to Cornette's podcast and get the gist of AEW.  None of the WWE stuff really intrigues me anymore.  I started from the early 80s NWA and WWF stuff on the network and have been slowly rewatching everything.  Its a little tougher now that everything is on Peacock but I'm up to Summerslam 93.  This was a low point for viewership but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.  Brett Hart was so great.  I miss matches that you actually believe someone got the absolute crap beat out of them and that an actual fight occurred.  I also miss real heat.  Watching Jerry Lawler berate the Hart's parents on live tv was so uncomfortable but good.  Really made you dislike a guy.

I love watching the old stuff.  I started off watching NWA, Florida and Georgia Championship Wrestling, Mid-South, WCCW in Texas, AWA and WWF.  I was completely enthralled in it as a kid and love to go back now and watch old stuff on the network (Peacock now) or YouTube.  I got back into it in my late teens/early 20s with ECW and the Monday Night wars.  Then i've only gotten back into it for the third time since AEW came into the picture.  It's based in my hometown and definitely is more reminiscent of the stuff I loved - I just enjoy it alot more than the overproduced, undercreative WWE stuff.  Since then i've ventured out some into other indies and NJPW.  it's a pretty good time for a wrestling fan, relatively.  It doesn't match the old days in any way, but it's as good as it has been since the early 90s, for me.

  5. AEW announced it's moving to TBS in 2022 and adding a 1 hour Friday show AEW: Rampage in August.  Looking forward to it.

Also, Kenny Omega will defend his AAA Mega Championship against Andrade at AAA's Triplemania.  As i'm sure you guys know, Andrade was cut from WWE not long ago.  I bet he wins the belt from Kenny so it can be defended more often in Mexico.

  6. current AU players in MLB on all-time list among AU players:

    * Josh Donaldson, 2nd in HR, RBI, 3rd in Hits, 4th in SB (needs 4 hits to pass Red Smith for 2nd all-time)

    * Garrett Cooper, 8th in HR

    * Grant Dayton, 8th in KOs (has passed Chris Bootcheck and Josh Hancock this season)

I don’t know the list but I imagine Okoro can make a real run with how devoid of scoring talent this Cleveland roster is. He’s going to definitely have the opportunities for years to come

It's kind of a big jump to the next spot in scoring but I do expect him to move up.  he will easily reach the top 10 in rebounds, assists and blocks next season, it will just depend on whether or not Okeke passes him in those as they are very close in all (Chuma actually has a slight lead in rebounds.)

If, like many, you don't include Toney Douglas (i do) then he'd technically be 9th.

FWIW the list is Barkley, Mike Mitchell, Chuck Person, Eddie Johnson, Wesley Person, Chris Morris, John Mengelt, Marquis Daniels, Toney Douglas, Isaac Okoro.  Those same guys make up most of the top 10s statistically, give or take one here and there.

I can't really think of a situation in which offering a superstar's friends/mates has failed for Pearl yet. the closest might be Stretch, but he's still valuable minutes for a position that has had consistent foul trouble, on top of being a good body against other immobile, floor bound centers

But Cardwell, Devan, I suppose Okoro in a way, potentially (and hopefully) Joyful Hawkins, all really talented guys to me

Don't know anything about him, but if we're offering him as a freshman, he's got to be a top recruit for that class.

Absolutely delivered.  Just brutal!  Better than the barbed wire match at PPV lol.  These girls practically killed each other.  Kudos to the extremes they went through.

Definitely.  most brutal women's match i've personally seen and definitely respect them both a whole lot more than before the match!  Awesome promos last night too...Tully and MJF, Mox and Kingston and Don Callis all cut excellent ones.  Great matches between Penta and Cody and Mox/Eddie vs. Good Brothers.  Good show all around.

  10. so many guys that deserve to hold a singles belt in AEW, almost sucks there's not more to go around!  MJF, Adam Page, PAC, Brian Cage, Rey Fenix, Lance Archer, Sammy Guevara, Miro - all guys definitely could be great champs.  I don't want the belt to change hands 24/7 like some runs of WWE though.

PAC and Fenix are electric.  They are an oddball of a tag team but they're probably the two most impressive athletes on the roster.  I think they might take those tag belts.  I love the AEW tag division.  I'm not sure any of the teams who haven't been champs yet (other than PAC and Fenix) are ready to be champs yet, but it's a nice, deep and diverse division.

As i've mentioned before I really am not crazy about women's wrestling but their roster is getting stronger.

It seems like (other than the Good Brothers/Kenny O) the cross-promotional stuff has died down a bit.  I hope they keep it going at least here and there.  They need to go ahead and take over NWA and bring in Nick Aldis.  He and Thunder Rosa are really the only roster guys you'd want but would be a cool angle to have the Ten Pounds of Gold (my all time favorite belt) back on TV.  Aldis and Cody have had tremendous matches in the past.

  11. I didn't get to watch the PPV but followed up on it this morning.  Interested to see what Page & Christian bring.  I can't say i'm overly stoked about another guy 47 years old joining, but he's a great worker.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Scorpio Sky take the TNT title off Darby on Wednesday.  They've been grooming him for a big push for a long while.  Darby seems more of a storyline guy than a title guy IMO anyway.

Oh also, nothing would legitimize the AEW Women's roster like bringing in Tessa.  It seems like a no-brainer and really surprised it hasn't happened.

  12. 4 early offers from AU, Florida, Vols, & LSU
Younger Brother of Evan who just finished kicking for Florida
Keith crystal balled him to AU
    Kohl's evaluation...

McPherson had a dominant showing at the 2021 UC Challenge in multiple competitions. He separated himself from everyone else by winning multiple competitions and hitting a 65 yard FG with ease. McPherson comes from a family of very good specialists and has multiple SEC offers. He has made long FG's throughout his high school career and has the talent and mind fame to be successful at the next level as a kicker who can punt in college. McPherson has a quite confidence which should help him throughout his career. He will be fun to watch in the coming years!
