If he's just going to promote Kent Austin, would he have done it today?

I was thinking of this. I do think a quick hire after a fire doesn’t look good. I think even if they know who it’ll be already they probably will wait atleast a day or so until they announce the new hire.

Since Cadillac was hired we have signed *Tank (I put an asterisk because Garner was listed as his primary recruiter), Hunter, Alston and Cobb. Those are all good backs, but one would assume a legend like Cadillac Williams could get the best backs in Alabama possibly Georgia.

Production wise I'll cut him some slack since he was dealt an immediate bad hand with Gus not recruiting O-linemen and Harsin not recruiting period, but he's only had 1 year with a 1000 yard rusher since he's been here and even the pathetic offense in 2012 created a 1000 yard rusher.

Yeah to be fair the oline has range from garbage to average over the last several years. I think we have 3 very talented backs right now. Just my opine.

    IN MY UNPOPULAR OPINION...

I love Cadillac and appreciate everything he has done for Auburn University as a player, running back coach, interim head coach and ambassador, but he may the most underwhelming running backs coach since the 80's. Eddie Gran was a better running backs coach. Curtis Luper is a better running backs coach. Tim Horton was arguably a better running backs coach than Caddy.

If Caddy stays, I'll be okay with it. If he goes, I genuinely wish him the very best.

I’m not really sure how you judge a RB coach? I just think of recruiting and the players performance. The RBs seem to be doing well to me but 🤷‍♂️

That kind of thinking is why we havnt had a passing game in over a decade

No, the reason was because Gus ran a high school offense with a basic passing game. I think it’s better to be balanced with a run lean. I don’t want to be all run like the triple option or all air raid (which Hugh would likely prefer to lean more to).

The rumor on Twitter is that Caddy is being pushed out. Will land someplace like UAB and it will be sold as a mutual parting.

No clue if this is true or not.

Makes sense. Hugh likely doesn’t plan on using RBs in his eventual offense anyways, which I hate. Auburn should always be a run oriented offense.

I felt like Michigan dominated the LOS and specifically Bama’s oline all day.  Its was a physical game that went down to the wire, the better team won.

Yes there were time when Michigan dominated but there were times when the Bama talent decided they wanted to win and got a leg up at times. Michigan wanted it more, I believe. BTW I would not bet on Milroe or a Kevin Steele defense and feel comfortable that I’d win.
