you may be right but they are no better or worse than your beloved U. Welcome to the real world! The assistant DA says, We have nothing to charge him with. Seriously, I am not an attorney but how are Bama fans suppose to defend BM? I know in college sports, everyone hates Bama but I thought that was football.......................................................But I guess it is everything.......................

    Woe is me.

I watched this game. No allegiance. Read this board all the time.

    Get ready to flame away.

You blew a 17-point second-half lead at your biggest rival's place in a game you probably shouldn't have been winning.

At some point, stop complaining about "the refs" and "Birmingham."

    My God, you people.

You do the same thing in football.

Don't you EVER get tired of whining?

    Seriously?

At some point, isn't it on your athletes and coaches to get the job done?

What is foolish about asking an administrator how he plans to ensure that a guy who has brought controversy to at least three schools in his career from repeat offending? What is foolish about demanding transparency about what was discovered? Don't tell me that vague string of generalities was a "detailed description of the hiring process".

John Cohen says Hugh was "open and honest" and "so transparent". Transparent about what? He compares Hugh's mistakes to Bruce's mistakes. I think we all know that lying about a BBQ is not the same as  sketchy highschool disciplinary actions and hiring escorts with company resources. But I digress...

Cohen says he wishes he could recreate the process for others, but he can't. Except he can. You take all of your notes and documentation and make it public. Problem solved.

Hugh Freeze is a high-profile representative of a state institution. If he were appointed to be Kay Ivey's secretary I would expect the same amount of scrutiny to applied. It's no different. I understand you're content to support anything with an Auburn logo slapped on it, but some of us actually believe the Creed has meaning.

I there truly nothing left to tell, it wouldn't have even been a topic in this interview three months later. So don't call me a fool, for still asking questions when the administration is at least still pretending to care about outward perceptions.

Great job! This series of unhinged and irrational posts has done nothing but galvanize more support for Cohen and Freeze. Congrats!

I don't really understand why anybody wouldn't have expected a down year from us this year.

We are better than I expected us to be. I think Bruce has done a good coaching this team. I just had a problem with some of his roster decisions

100% and yes BP has. My only real sore spot was NOT going after Mark Sears. A veteran floor general there for the taking. Was it scholly limits, or was it pinning all their hopes on Donaldson, Westry, and Traore all being good reliable contributors immediately? The class of 2024 tells me this staff will turn the corner. The portal of 2023, hopefully more so.

  5. With a cloud hanging over the program from 2017 to 2021, and now halfway into 4 years of probation, recruiting was hurt. Nothing more, nothing less. Granted it was self inflicted, but the coaching staff has done yeoman's work keeping the ship afloat and back to WINNING. I would argue they've probably done their best work, given the circumstances. The class of 2024 shows things are looking up. Hopefully, the portal of 2023 will move the needle a little quicker. There is reason for optimism. In the meantime, let's keep pulling for this team of veterans who continue to grind and fight until the end. Maybe they can reach a point where they play free and easy with nothing to lose. To make the tournament this year would be a great accomplishment. I believe they can.

  7. I'm not giving up. No way. Sometimes growth is hard to see, but I see it. Adjustments HAVE been made. The effort is there offensively and defensively. We're playing more under control. Despite not having reliable outside shooting, and struggling on the glass, our 3,4,5s ARE getting the looks. THEY are our strength. A little better job of finishing through contact wins this game, and others. I thought we handled their ball pressure admirably. And the veteran leadership and experience is keeping us in games.

  8. I was afraid of this. It's tough when your collection of guards enter almost every game in league play seemingly at a disadvantage. Whether it's height, length,  strength, speed, athleticism. Consistently it's 2 or 3 of those qualities. The guards on the better teams play with no fear against us. With Radford (Sr) and Taylor (So) scoring at will, we desperately needed way more out of Flanagan, Williams, and KD tonight. We needed a near perfect game. KD is trying to dial it back some and play more under control. But he does not have the burst to blow by people. Not even taller defenders. He's too easy to guard. Every shot is contested. With his physicality, I'd like to see him utilized as a screener more often. Not only outside, but inside as well. On any defender. Big and small. Free up others while rolling off or stepping back. By the way, all of the top home court winning streaks went by the wayside in the span of 2 weeks. All of them.

Had I not been at the game yesterday, I would be saying the same as many others have said.  I would have reminded everyone of the mess Flo left and injuries etc.  However, I was at the game .  What I witnessed was a team that is poorly coached and a coaching staff that, at least on Sunday, was incapable of recognizing and making any adjustments.  The effort during the first half was ridiculously bad.  We allowed bama clear lanes to the basket and often didn't contest in the paint.  If I was the AD, I would have met today with the coach to ask her if there was anything she needed because what happened yesterday cannot continue all season.

Imagine evaluating the job performance of someone you considered hiring at your previous stop, but went in a different direction. How uncomfortable that might be....for both parties....

  10. Several things jump off the page for Mr. Davis. I can guarantee Freeze had a private chat with Gus about the makeup of one Marcus Davis.

    1) Auburn alum - Continuity. From Caddy, to Zac, and now Davis, who is the youngest. These 3 men bring a succession of playing experience from Tuberville, to Chizik, and finally Malzahn.

    2) Education - Bachelor's in Communications, followed by a Master's degree in Education in rapid succession. Impressive.

    3) Clear career path - Demonstrating growth and a drive to accept new challenges.

    4) Leadership - Voted a Team Captain as a player. That screams respect in the locker room.

    5) His home turf is South Florida. Grew up an hour north of Miami. Prime recruiting area.

I get the point you are trying to make, but that's setting a precedent I don't like.

Carnell (The man, not the poster) is def committed to Auburn and I think everyone would agree he's committed to mentoring these dudes on the team. Deciding to stay at Auburn doesn't mean Cadillac is 100% on board with Freeze, and should something negative happen with Freeze again, I'd hate for people to point at Cadillac and be like, 'He stayed when HF was hired, therefore he condones this stuff'

How about acting more like Cadillac, instead of less? And he's basically calling Trovon Reed an outright liar with this little jewel:

"Now you say he is proud to be at Auburn but he again tries to rub the NCAA nose in the ground by meeting a recruit wearing auburn NIL logo instead of keeping his head down and being passionate about Auburn.  He is a narcissist and Narcissist care about know one but themselves and that also includes the school where he coaches."

I didn't know we had Betazoid fans in our midst who can read minds and glean intentions. Amazing.

  12. Kelly’s last full time DC gig was 2017 at FSU? If he’s so good, why didn’t Jimbo bring him to TAM or Saban make him the full time DC? At Colorado, the expectations, scrutiny, and competition is a lot less. Kelly won’t have to do much to raise the bar of a 1-11 team.
