  1. Man this is the truth. I'm annoyed by the media spectacle this will create and how much we're gonna hear about it moving forward. I expect Aden will improve some... but I've also seen what he can do and frankly, I'm glad he is where he is now. With this kind of attitude, I fully expect him to fail to live up to his full potential. Now he can blame Nate. Would've cheered for him anywhere else. Will be pulling hard for TD and KD moving forward.
  2. This is the worst idea I've heard since the Cox Cat.
  3. Unpopular take, but honestly that press conference made me feel bad for Hugh. I didn't want him as our head coach initially, but he does seem to love Auburn and that has brought me around. You can tell he's hurting right now, rightfully accepting the blame for the way the end of the game unfolded. Tonight sucks. Last week sucked. But I still believe Hugh may be able to improve things with time and will continue to support him and the team. Hoping to see some progress next season. War Eagle.
  4. I definitely agree that the effort was poor. I understand that some of the scrambles are survival plays. If you have twice as many of those as RB handoffs... well, you've got some problems. And yea man, playcalling is part of that.
  5. We've gotta stop kidding ourselves - Hugh is no Saban. This isn't LA Monroe. Just no fight. Pavia went WWE on our DB, and our guys didn't grind him into dirt. How does JH carry the ball less than half as much as PT? Terrible decisions, terrible play calls. This offense is horrible. Montgomery needs to go.
  6. Bad officiating all day but we deserve this loss. We’re just bad on offense. Freeze has a history of bad losses… hope this is one off, not a trend.
  7. Totally agree with this sentiment. Proud of the defense for playing tough again. I didn't want Freeze either, but man, he's our guy now and I do believe he's working his tail off. We've gotta keep pulling for him. We're not climbing out of this pit overnight and we can't change coaches again. Turning on him won't make it us better, it will only dig the hole deeper. Gotta keep a lid on this toxic fan crap and keep pulling for these kids and coaches.
  8. O is a complete mess right now, looks like a continuation of where Harsin lead us. Still need a lot of new faces in WR room, at least one decent QB, and more quality OL. Not sold on this OC, either. Disappointed we're not seeing glimpses of improvement yet, which does worry me. I think it's time for CHF to assume control. D got torched by a great offense last night and the kids let the red stick corndog night swamp get in their heads... there's a reason we have one win there in the last 25 years or whatever, it's a very hard place to play. I still think this side of the ball is good, overall. Like it or not, we're on the CHF train and we have no choice but to ride things out for awhile and hope for the best. His success or failure is our success or failure at this point, and we need to stay in his corner IMO. Moving on early again is not an option. If he can't fix our offense, I'm not sure who can.
  9. Lol.... They both had one recruiting class before their season too. I can tell this is hard for you. Enough said about this, back to the game.
  10. I did not. That's the same situation Hugh is in right now, my man.
  11. Nah - both were fairly mediocre in their first seasons. Nick went 7-6 and Kirby went 8-5 (a bit better).
  12. I mean, we do though. Gonna take more than one class to turn this ship around for anyone because the hole was so deep. The offense was absolutely dead in the water last year after Harsin managed to run our only legit playmaker at WR off (Hudson) just to make sure we had absolutely no hope. O-line is better but not great, RBs are excellent, TE is better but not great, QB + WRs are about the same. More work to do before we can win against good teams in the SEC. Gotta find a QB AND a WR or two who can actually play. What's really surprising is how incredibly good the defense has been, overall.
  13. Man I'd kill to have him and Hudson still on the team. We need a playmaker at WR so badly. Two of the worst Harsin casualties, along with JJ.
  14. Bowers is a generational TE. You can't just scheme him away. Ron Roberts has been solid.
  15. Kids played hard. We've got a long way to go, but proud of the way they played tonight.
