Texas/Alabama in primetime on ESPN had the same number of viewers as Colorado/Nebraska at Noon on FOX?
And FSU/LSU the week before in primetime on ABC had more viewers than Texas/Alabama?
Yeah, ESPN could be in for some trouble.

1. Yes, the outside of many buildings look bland. But if you actually go inside, you find that they are amazingly beautiful. For example, the Berkeley main library looks pretty plain from outside. Inside it is marble and classically beautiful. Add to that the tradition of the annual naked streak during exams -- yes, naked coeds running around naked in the building -- this is definitely NOT Auburn. Better? Worse?
Naked Berkeley coeds?
Let's go with worse.

Because the ones that paid before are still ponying up the big bucks on many cases but now that it's out on the open, more is needed. It's now even more of a bidding war than it was and can openly be discussed as to what it will take to sign a player. Those big money folks can't be expected to do it all in this era. Many fans were asking for a way to help be a part. If you can't or won't then don't. My conundrum is not in giving to Auburn but knowing that I will probably have to do the same for Miss St because my wife only likes Auburn but she loves State. I have to find a happy medium.

Boy, it's going to rock your world to learn that players (including ours) have gotten paid all along
This argument seems starnge to me. If players have been gettng paid all along, then why don't the guys paying them just do it openly now? Why are they asking for $24/month from the fans?

LOL. Who would have ever guessed that NIL would turn college football into a total crap show.

If history teaches us anything it’s that our so called “insiders” have zero clue who we are talking to or even interested in. They just spout whatever some random person told them to get more money out of their websites.
Yep.
The only inside information they have is the credit card numbers of the subscribers that hang on their every word.

Imagine being stuck in mud for years and years. You finally jump out and land in a pile of s***. Then you want to talk about how great it is to be stuck in mud.
I hear what you are saying and I like the analogy. I think for a lot of people the argument is that the pile of s*** was in plain sight and we jumped anyway just because we were tired of the mud.

Cause next Saturday the buses and team can help Cohen move his family and stuff to Auburn from Starkville Saturday.
It’s not Rocket Science!LOL
The AU athletic dept. is so far ahead of the rest of the SEC that we just saved having to pay the new AD's moving expenses.

Observation and reflection. Has anyone actually read and studied the press release word for word? It was short, but powerful. Particularly in what was NOT said. No mention of name. No appreciation for the effort and time spent. No best wishes to him and his family in all their future endeavors. None of the usual polite, obligatory rhetoric you normally see in these announcements. The toxic environment emanating from the head coaches' office must have been so bad, that you can feel the anger and lack of respect behind the written words of that dismissal statement. Stunning.
Yep. Makes you wonder why it took so long to do what needed to be done.

LOL. You could go on for days with that response from Bo.

If I could trade Harsin for Jimbo with all the contract stuff at each school staying just as it is right now, then sure. Not sure what we have to loose. There's little to no hope as things stand at the moment.

I think it will be close. I would say AU in a blow out, but taking a 3 game loosing streak into bye week can be demoralizing.

This. The trope of the “good man that loves Auburn” was blown up in 2017 when, after two good wins, he held Auburn hostage for big money instead of preparing appropriately for the SECCG and subsequently the bowl game. A coach that really loved Auburn would have been laser focused on the SECCG, because if we win that game we are playing for a natty; instead it was another “ok” season (less than Dye’s winning percentage but better than the typical Gus year) that ended with an embarrassing bowl loss (one of many). He should have never been given the Auburn job and should have been fired long before he was. He made money to sustain him and his family for generations based on the work he did at Auburn, for better or for worse. To think that we owe him some debt of gratitude for his time at Auburn beyond what he has already received is to live in some kind of gauzy, nostalgic fantasy based on the 2010 NC and the 2013 run that he could never replicate in a million seasons
That whole contract fiasco leading up to the 2017 SECCG really soured me on Gus and that was even before he lost the game. Combine that loss with the bowl game loss and Auburn looked foolish for working on a cntract extension during the season. Gus should have been told to check back in January to discuss a contract extension and pay raise. The whole fear that he was going to bolt to Arkansas was complete nonsense and cost us dearly.

I was just about to post this. He is greatly handicapped by his working conditions. They stupidly put the broadcast booth in a place where he can't see the game.
This is painfully obvious listening to the games. He is constantly giving the wrong spot of the ball. Usually off by either 5 or 10 yards. It's almost as if he is just guessing based on the general location of the ball.

I was certainly impressed by each team's commitment to loosing. The only thing all day that impressed me.

I guess 17-14 is the new 3-2.
At least AU is 2-0 in games where the gametape should be burned and all mentions forbidden.

It's their first visit to JHS and you don't just walk into JHS for the first time ever and win.

I can see being impressed by the crowd through the first half and the game atmosphere in general. Maybe he was referring to those things rather than what happened on the field?
I hope so, becasue If that's the best actual game he has ever seen, then he's watched a lot of really bad football.

Why does Derrick Hall have one?
Auburn had a chance to beat Penn State, they failed miserably. If they take more offense to Penn State hitting the field with a hammer then with them hitting us in the mouth for 40 minutes then we have an even bigger problem.
I'm not sure anybody took offense to it. Just seems kind of strange to me that football players carry sledgehammers to away games to pound on a logo. But then again I'm getting old and I don't hang out on instagram, so for all I know every player in college football has one in his locker or luggage.

This is an actual quote from the article. Not sure what to make of it.
"The game was by far the best game I’ve ever seen," Harkless said to 247Sports.
