Thanks for the analysis Coach, we definitely appreciate it; and there hasn't been a( Kojak (Kochack) or whatever his user name was) sighting since he ran you off.

It was Kolchak..like the character in the TV series Night Stalker (old school stuff)

Thank you. It’s people like you who make me feel like spending time on something like this is worthwhile. If there is a next one, please feel free to not read it.

JMR I am a fan of your analysis. I look forward to each and every one. Please consider continuing them despite the occasional grump.

Gus can't do this. If his game plan doesn't work, he is skunked.

Mind boggling. This coach has never utilized his talent. Somtimes a new QB can spark an offense, when the first guy is struggling. This bozo never attempts anything different, except a stupid call to go for it, on 4th and a mile. I will be glad when he is gone. It is just a matter of time.

    ^^^^^^This

Careful you might violate a pumpers safe space.

With these 2 QBs, this offense needs to be balanced at the QB position to be successful. The QB has to be able to take the pounding of a running QB and still complete passes at a reasonable rate. Whoever can achieve that balance the best without sacrificing one phase for the other should be out there.

Is there any evidence to suggest Nix can take a pounding? Just wondering. He certainly isn't as big as JG.

To add to your point, MSU only had 69 yards passing. We held their passing attack almost completely in check. It was by no means a stellar day for the defense, but keeping an opponent under 25 points and under 100 yards passing is hardly bad defense. That game was lost because we didn’t put the ball in the end zone once.

MSU did not have to pass we let them keep moving the chains on the ground!

You didn't bother to look at the snarky comments that allowed me to write that last sentence? C'mon. If you want to be a leader in the pack instead of eating dust at the rear you'll have to step your game up!

I owe you nothing goober man

OL coaches are notorious for wanting to settle on five starters, keep them together to develop chemistry and substitute as little as possible. Therefore, we seldom see what the guys down the depth chart can do until a starter gets injured or graduates. I simply feel like the guys to do the job are there, waiting their opportunity.

Did not answer the question as usual.

It works like this: We've got a bunch of rising seniors and even more backups. By signing time for the 2020 class those numbers will be lowered by graduation and we'll need more then. I do think Gus and I both would have liked another OL guy or two today but that didn't happen. No big deal, next year is when the need for more backups/ starters in training will be important.

Gee, it's so nice to enjoy the confidence of your fellow posters. Thanks for the vote of confidence guys!

Posts like yours its always best to skip to the closing remarks to understand what your mojo is. The snarky tone (which is in pretty much every post) tells us you give Gus  on a regular basis. You are the lone Gus apologist that merely confirms our majority opinion that Gus is driving the program downward by poor planning and/or bad hires.

    edit.....no need for that crap....edit

No. He is a 5* WR who just went to UGA after being committed to AU for 2 years. Shows that Kirby worked over Gus and AU. It's embarrassing.

Yea but supposedly he does not have the grades. Is he miraculously going to make the grades before fall camp?

Stat, you may have the numbers on this, but I mentioned this in the game thread.  It seemed to me we threw the ball deep more in the first half yesterday than we did in the last 5-6 games of the season combined.   Could be a false perception but I don't recall us trying to stretch the field that much like we did yesterday.

My guess is the coaches saw on film that Purdue's secondary was nowhere near as good as the SEC teams we play. How that team destroyed a very good tOSU is a mystery.

Well I didn’t ask this to be hidden away in another thread, that’s why I started one.  I’m done with this site.  You people are always so negative and have overbearing fascism tendencies.

hope you find a safe spot Mr. snowflake.

The year by year rundown you provided is frightening in terms of our staff’s ability to think strategically. Recruiting numbers should be planned out at least 2 years in advance but it’s like our staff plans only for the here and now. Thus, over reliance on grad transfers. If I were ADAG, I would hold a meeting with our current coaching staff and point stuff like this out. It is part of the ‘CEO’stuff that Gus dislikes so much, but it’s basic management 101.

Why is this clown the HC at Auburn University if he can't handle 'CEO stuff'?????
