  1. His referring to the university’s unfinished internal investigation tips his hand on the real purpose of this article, which is to vindicate himself- to say that he was right all along about Harsin. I agree that Harsin had this team ill-prepared and that his days at Auburn are numbered, but the glee with which this guy spews attacks on folk’s character and personal integrity in an article about a football game turns my stomach. The only way I was able to read the article was because it was posted here, because I refuse to give him any clicks.

Emotion plays a much larger part than most people think. For example the same argument could be applied to the entire concept of momentum in a game but I think most would agree that is a thing that exists based on emotion/mood. "If the defense gets a turnover and it sparks the offense, maybe you should have gone to a G5 school."

We talk about our great uniform tradition and poo poo orange jerseys as a gimmick, but maybe we make things like uniform tradition a crutch or gimmick in the other direction - Did any of us feel better about losing to UCF in the Peach Bowl because we looked great in those blue jerseys? Would we have felt worse or more embarrassed if we’d lost in orange jerseys? My point is that worrying or obsessing about what color Jersey we’re wearing cuts both ways.

My opinions, as if anyone cares. 😂

I think it’s more important that the fans wear the orange than the team does, to show support. I don’t care if you don’t want to wear orange, that’s fine.  Just don’t come to the stadium. 😁

I agree with the cheers.  I hate 2 bits, but it’s been around forever, so I guess it’s tradition.  It’s got to be the first cheer that little kids are taught, so I guess it perpetuates the family atmosphere? 🤷‍♀️

I’m not upset with the band playing the same tunes.  It’s just background noise.

It’s just comforting for everything to be the same, especially if you’ve been around as long as I have, 45 years going to games.  I understand the desire to change it up from the younger people though.

The trend toward a booming sound system playing hip hop between every play and an LED light show during every TV time out is making cheerleaders and marching bands irrelevant and obsolete

  4. We all have an opinion (I’m for it), but what should matter to us is what the players think. They’re the ones putting in the hard work and I’d bet you that overwhelmingly would be for it.  If I were Harsin, my attitude would by why not - these old geezers that are so hard over against it want me gone anyway, so why worry about whether they like it or not.
