  1. How has nobody predicted that our O-line crushes their D-line yet?

    My prediction:

UGA - As much as they want. I'll say 48 bc bowl cut and Brock are feeling generous.

    AU - 3

Robby gets us in FG range 5 times. We blow 2 4th down calls and miss 2 field goals. Should be a good time.

Harsin is fired on the field afterward and replaced immediately by Urban Freeze. AUFamily server explodes.

Oh yeah let's go ahead and sign him for a lifetime contract so we can always finish 13th or 14th and create a great rivalry with Vandy( they did beat us last time we played them)😎

I want to laugh, but it hurts...

yeah its actually worse than that...

In its last seven games against Power 5 opponents going back to last season’s win at Ole Miss, Auburn has been out-scored 116-21 in the second half. AU is just 9 of 49 (18.4 percent) on third down conversions and averaging 2.9 rushing yards per carry. - source  https://auburn.rivals.com/news/second-halves-of-futility-auburn-tigers-football

This stat alone should be grounds to fire for cause

After Auburn beats LSU and all of you slackjawed, player hating, inbred Auburn fans can go back into your holes for a few days.

Should be fun to come back here Sunday morning

    Some names I’ve heard mentioned….

    Matt Rhule

    Todd Monken

    Hugh Freeze

    Lane Kiffin

    Deion Sanders

    Jeff Grimes

    Mike Elko

    Mark Stoops

    Dave Aranda

    Mel Tucker

    Matt Campbell

Curious to know who in the world mentioned Mel Tucker. That guy isn't going anywhere...and I'm not convinced I'd want him to anyway, but his contract and buyout are absurd.

    Just. Why.

We only get 12 games per year. Nobody is saying “but I wish they didn’t last as long”.

Well, that and it removes a strategic element of the game as well. Just remove 20 seconds from each quarter. In football time, that will equal 4 minutes and they get to keep their precious commercials. But also, just cut down on the freaking commercials...

To me, the basis of this entire mess rests with the head coach and coordinators. They have not devised schemes that help our players succeed. Their offensive and defensive schemes should try to emphasize our team strengths and hide the weakness. I don't see any of that. I think they are trying to jam a round peg (players) into a square hole (their preferred systems). A good coaching staff adjusts their plans to fit the talent available, not vice-versa.

    This right here ^

    I ain’t wrong, though!

I disagree. I'm interested to know how it isn't the business of the fans to question what we saw on the field last week.

All off season, the coach has said "just watch". Apparently, what he really meant was "Just watch. Please don't ask questions though, bc I get offended easily and don't want to answer."

He's talked a good game. We're allowed to question why he isn't backing it up.

Hello Bryan. If you spent less time being offended by accountability and more time recruiting, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Can we all agree that Sanders is probably a better higher than Harsin and Gus were at the time they were hired?

when we hired Gus in 2012, I was fine with it but it was definitely begrudged. H many as a “safe” hire.

I would agree that he certainly has more upside. I think worries most people about Sanders is the unknown. At this point, I'm willing to take a chance. He's not my number one choice, but I'd certainly welcome him.

The mistake Hars made is after saying "I'm not a practicing physician" he forgot to say Awight.   If you end every thought with "awight" the Alabama media praises you and looks the other way.

Agreed. He should've stopped at "I'm not practicing." At least that would be a halfway decent explanation 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Qualifications:

    1.  Big time recruiter who can put together a staff of other big time recruiters.

    2.  Excellent recruiter.

    3.  SEC/Southeast coaching experience.

    4.  Did I mention being good at recruiting?

    5.  No more introverted nerds and surly "all business" types.  Next guy has to be able to unite the various factions, shake hands and kiss babies.

    6.  At least several years of being a top coordinator, but preferably a current P5 head coach.

    6.  Recruiting.

I'm in agreement here. About the only thing I would add is elite recruiter.

Because he's not going to win a natty at Ole Miss. He can at Auburn. Ole Miss may have a dream season once every 5 or 6 years. He can make Auburn a consistent top team with recruiting top 8 or 10 classes every year. It's honestly an easy sell. You can sell it to Lane because of his big ego and being a challenge to actually beat Saban on a regular basis.

Lane took jobs at historic programs: Tenn and USC. He loves the spotlight. Ole Miss is only going so far.

I don't get people being so fascinated with Deion. As someone who has parents that graduated from HBCUs, i absolutely love what he has done and doing. However, unless it's FSU i hope he stays at Jackson State and helps HBCUs continue to change and grow. Deion is a great recruiter but i do highly question him as a coach when it comes to Xs' and Os.

That would be a huge jump and yes the recruited talent would help but I'd like to see him coach 2 or 3 years at D1 before we sign on to him.

Oh I don't disagree about Deion at all. He's a major question mark. I just feel like AU has such a poor image right now that a top coach would be scared to accept an offer. If the boosters don't like you, they just get some bogus info to the media and you're toast. It feels like we almost have to get someone unproven with what appears to be a large upside bc the hole we've placed ourselves into. I'd gladly hope to be wrong. Kiffin is and has been my number one choice for a while now with Freeze sitting closely at number 2. But I don't see Kiffin coming and Auburn is more concerned about hiring Ghandi than they are winning, so that brings us to option 3. Again, just my opinion. I'd love to be incorrect.

Exactly! Like i said. Go get Lane!

I don't see where a currently successful head coach would come to AU right now. Especially not after the off season drama. Maybe I'm wrong. I'd love to have him, but I just don't see it happening. IMO, given our current circumstances, Deion is our best option.

This is the entire insider conversation

Insider 1 told insider 2 that the reps were being split with the ones with all quarterbacks.

Insider 2 told insider 3 that the first team QB reps were up in the air.

3 told 4 that after practice he was going to stop by and get a pizza and calzones on his way home.

4 told 5 that he heard something about Calzada is on his way.

5 then repeated that Calzada would be the starter and bring home a victory.

    ...and that's how it happened.😁

Malzone is coming home you say?
