I would maybe move Peralta down to see if that helps get her out of her slump.

Looks like we picked up another transfer. Icess Tresvik from North Carolina A&T. She was a freshman last year who made the All Freshman team as well as Second Team All Conference. She hit 10 home runs and had 31 RBI for the year.

As of now, Majors, Falisi, Geraghty, and Schmidt are in the portal. All of them have taken “Auburn Softball” out of their handle, except Schmidt. My takeaway is Geraghty, Majors, and Falisi are gone. Schmidt and Cox may or may not come back. I think Blaine will return and split time at DP and C with Lisenby.

If Cox nor Schmidt return, Garcia will start at either RF or 3rd. If Roberts is ready to play then Garcia will play right. If not, Garcia will play 3rd and Smith will play RF. 

Either way, I am interested to see the roster once the season starts. 

Would be so disappointing to see Blaine leave. She reposted on her Instagram story a post from the Auburn Softball Instagram 9 hours ago, so hopefully she stays. 

Maddie Majors is as well. That's not surprising considering she's about to be a senior and has rarely contributed, even though I think Dean should have given her more opportunities at first last year with Justus Perry struggling for almost the whole season. Nevertheless, Bri Ellis has 1st locked up for the next 3 seasons so I see her reasoning for leaving. I think Schmidt could have contributed the most of the 3 in the portal next year, but with the 4 or 5 freshman coming in her playing time was probably going to drop. Overall, if those are the only 3 we lose to the portal, I'll be happy. Especially considering when you look at the 6 transfers at Bama and that whole situation, they have 3 freshman in the portal that would have been starters next season for sure.

I remember in game 1 Lexie Davis got absolutely squeezed in the lower half of the zone on balls that were in the strike zone. She then got in trouble with a couple of runners on and then had to come at Sydney Romero and she hit a three run bomb. Those were the only runs they scored that game too. 

I remember how surprising that start was for Lexi. Even the ESPN announcers couldn't stop talking about it in the first few innings. At that point in the season Kaylee Carlson and Makayla Martin were our 1-2 punch with Rachel Walters being a nice closer. Lexi was only 5-0 on the season at that time and her last decision had come on April 10th. Her winning decisions came against DePaul, Bryant, Troy, Longwood and Western Illinois. I definitely remember being absolutely shocked she was starting the first game. I loved her as a pitcher though and thought she pitched an outstanding game. I'll go back and watch highlights from that season randomly just to remind myself how good we were 😂

Dean has Yarborough warming up.... Why? Our 4th string should not be seeing the field in an elimination game that we are tied in 2-2. Very puzzling.

Definitely feels like one we're going to lose. Not sure why Penta isn't pitching, it's an Elim game. I know she's gone the full 7 the past two games but it's all or nothing right now. 

I think the only shot of us not going to FSU again would be if the committee sent Mississippi State there instead, & us to Clemson because both are in the 400 mile range. Really hope we avoid Tallahassee again, although I think we'd do better than 0-2 like last year.

UGA is probably going to be able to hit a lot better off of Dismukes, so hopefully our bats are alive today.

It really is. The ESPN announcers were talking about it during the SC series but we were so abysmal at the plate last year, this turnaround has been great to see. Especially considering it's mostly freshman and sophomores. 

I think Lowe might be a little more digned up than we know and he's trying to save her best he can for SEC play. Hopefully it's something minor if that's the case. 

Did the broadcast mention why Packer wasn't starting?

I'm pretty interested to see what the starting line up is going to look like.
