  1. In my opinion, rumors can be easily spread while telling the truth:

Joe (who observed Susie smoking a cigarette) said "Susie smoked a cigarette."  Bill (who only heard Joe say Susie smoked a cigarette) said "Susie smoked a cigarette."  Arnie said "Joe said Susie smoked a cigarette."  Bill was spreading second hand information.  Arnie was telling the truth.  But both Bill and Arnie were helping spread gossip.

I believe their is enough evidence to state the CBH investigation preceded the rumors.  How the rumors started is an interesting question that also needs to be investigated.

I can’t understand anyone that hopes someone has done anything wrong especially cheating on his wife and family! You have taken this too far!

I do not "hope" CBH did anything wrong, especially with the other female being brought into this.  I still think we need to wait until the investigations are done.  I do hope that if he did it, there will be evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.  If there is reasonably strong evidence CBH should step down, but that may not be his personality type. AU would be better off to handle things as quietly as possible.  I know we have already gone way past that point, and I think CBH will make this as difficult as possible.  It is not going to be pretty, so let's hope it is quick.

I'm just curious on one thing. If the investigation yields no cause and Harsin refuses to budge, does Gogue fire him with full buyout? Not should he, but will he

Good question.  I would say that in most legal proceedings, you argue the position that is most advantageous to you, not the position that is legally or ethically correct.  That may not be the "right" thing to argue, but it seems to be the way our legal system works today.

  4. It has been an interesting day.  I should have remembered this, but today I re-learned the lesson of letting things play out, especially if I have no control or impact on the results.  I have always supported CBH.  Today, I am reminded there is a fine line between being relentless, determined, steadfast and single minded and being stubborn, bull-headed, unreasonable, and self-willed.  Today I have to consider if CBH crossed that line.  I chose today to let things play out before I made up my mind.

I now believe the PTB has been investigating CBH for as much as a couple of weeks.  Part of the evidence for that is that CBH was advised not to come before the PTB for clarification about assistant salaries.  The investigation was already going to take place.  I believe we need to to let things play out.

I am extremely disappointed about the internet rumors.  As of today, I believe the internet rumors have not been a part of the AU investigation.  Of course that could change.  As of today, I believe the AU investigation is directed primarily toward staff departures.  Exit interviews are common practice, and the interviews are confidential.  It is possible a departing staff member would support CBH in public yet share some concerns in the private exit interview.  Again, today I decided to let things play out.

Who started the rumors?  We do not know.  I certainly hope it was not a concerted effort of trustees or a few boosters.  There are possibilities that are more likely to me.  Rumors could be from a rival school, or possibly a disgruntled staff member who was fired.  It is possible there is some truth in some of the rumors.  Is the internet part of the problem? Of course, but it is a problem every team is dealing with, not just AU.  If the rumors come from one person or a small group of people, there is a smaller chance we will ever know what happened.  The more people involved in starting the rumors, the greater the chance we will eventually find out who started them.  At this point, we should wait to let things play out.

I could continue, but I will stop here.  It is at least possible that in this case, the trustees will act appropriately. My respectful opinion is that we need to be patient.  Not for long.  This will be over sooner rather than later.  I love Auburn and this hurts.  It hurts bad.  We should resolve to make the best of a bad situation.

lol....it's not like he was the wide recievers coach because Harsin lost a bet going into the season.  The head coach puts together the staff he wants going into the season at his discretion, So yeah the HC firing a new guy on his staff 4 games into a new regime is a bad look.

I think it depends on two things... 1) how the WRs react (if in general they support the change) and 2) if the WR play improves.

I think it helps to understand how you could bring someone in and get rid of them so quickly.  He was just maybe not the right fit at this time with this staff and they knew it wasn't gonna workout long term so they moved on.  Recruits will now understand the situation and not feel like they were blindsided if they fired him after the early signing period.

If the players have a positive opinion of the change, it will help.  If the WRs improve performance, it will help a great deal.  Stay positive.  Beat LSU!

Lmao if Bo is 6'3" then I'm dating Emily Blunt.

He does not look it to me.  Also looks to me that he struggles a bit with vision down the field.  Some QBs don't have a height/vision issue, but it looks to me it is a problem for Bo.  Wish him the best.
