Come on Jared.... Did you see the recruiting? Everyone turned it into a story and we closed like a champ and recruited well despite having a horrible year.

I did see it and it was a nice, mid-SEC finish compared to where they were in the summer. The obvious caveat to that being there is one HS OL in the class. Yeah ‘23 is supposed to be the year that changes so I’m not calling for anyone’s head (as if that matters anyway), but the staff started from behind and don’t seem to be catching up on that area yet. That’s where the “people who know how to make sure recruits end up with you” come in.

The only MINOR correction here, is that ESPN+ is not doing All NHL games.  They are doing a TON of them, but not all of them are available through ESPN+ and yes there are still blackouts even with the ESPN+ subscription.

Ah, I had read somewhere they were doing the full season, but don’t recall where. I’m sure the national games are blacked out and locals as well. I’m an Avs fan so I don’t have to worry about local blackouts like I do with the Braves.

  3. ESPN+ (as much as I despise ESPN) is becoming a great value. All NHL games this year (it was just the first half of the season last year) and all PGA events that used to be on the PGA Tour service that was $10.

It ESPN did people no favors confusing everyone with the “+” part of their listings. ESPN+ is the separate subscription. SECN+, ACCN+, and other “+” channels just require you to have a cable/streaming service provider that carries the non-plus version of the channel, i.e. SEC Network. You just log in to the ESPN app with your TV provider to get the “+” channels. You also get game replays which you can watch anytime as soon as the game ends for about a week (maybe longer) after it airs live.

Definitely encouraged by Coach J's 1st class! I also enjoyed reading recently about past players, especially Ruthie, getting involved & wanting very much to see the program become strong again. Coach J's solid 1st class looks to be a step in that direction. Looking forward to the opener tonight & seeing improvements already. BTW, for me Ruthie is right up there with Bo & Charles as Auburn legends & ambassadors. She's a treasure!

And 100% should have a statue.

  5. Wouldn’t be surprised if most of that top 20 class they signed this week were starters next year. I don’t think there is an SEC quality player on the roster right not outside of Honesty Scott-Grayson based on what I saw in this game tonight. The post play is rough and the team is very small all around. Harris was left with zip by the previous staff so she’s going to need 3 years at least to try and turn this around.

Your talking about Jackson , not hunter. Hunter had a bunch of options .

Yes. That's why sentence 2 starts with "Sean." Apologies for the derail. Loved what I saw out of Hunter as well. The AU RB room looks as strong as ever, in spite of the concerns over the spring and summer of how thin it is.

Could never figure out why this guy was only 3* from watching his High School film.  He was a great find by the coaching staff.  Fast, good vision and violent.

Wasn’t a “find” per se. Sean reached out because he knew the RB room was thin. Was set to walk-ok at UK and after taking to the AU staff, decided to walk-on there. I hope AU locks him up because he will be on scholarship somewhere next year. Loved him at HT and was thrilled when I heard he was heading to AU after shockingly not getting offers at at P5 schools. You’d think any ACC school and probably 2/3 of SEC schools could use him.

They continually rank Miami every year. They suck every year. They call themselves the U, and they were only good for 10 years or so in the '80s. They were a cupcake for everyone before that. They haven't been much better since that. I saw them being ranked 14, and thought yep bama will beat them by 50.

They were good when they were able to “recruit” like uat does now.

This tweet will 100% get deleted when he's wrong.  Hopefully him/Keith are correct and @jared52has bad info (no offense, appreciate what you're passing along).  UGA isn't even on his top lists of schools on rivals/247

Yeah, that's why I was a little bit leery of the info in the first place. Kids around here that high up land at uat, but I am not sure how hard they are pushing for him.
