bmsims8point 0
why lately r we losing top players to other schools that r having problems like florida and michigan espically running backs :aufb: :aufb:
Rabern57 0
Because the big recruits wanna be the center of attention and the other coaches convince them they will be if they come there and our system ain't like that. We run a multiple RB system and spread it around and they want it ever play. So let them go if they wanna.
GoCrazyAuburn 0
Its called big time recruiting. You don't always get everyone. If you were thinking that last year was the norm as far as RB recruiting went, you are terribly mistaken.
DO4AU2010 0
I know we cant get em all but were missing on several guys this year. We're the number one team in the country,we're gonna bring Auburn a HT and possibly an SECC and NC,and we run one of the most exciting offenses in the country. We have everything going for us. There is no excuse and i guarantee you the coaches are looking at it the same way and they're gonna blame themselves and its just gonna make them work harder and harder. The same way we lost some of our so called 'locks' and 'leans' other teams can too. The fat lady aint singing yet so i still think we finish strong. Rabern57 0
We ain't hurting for talent. We have some great RBs now. We are really only desperate for a few OL, a couple of LBs, and DBs. And we have a fair shot at signing the #2 DB class this year. Every one else we sign is upgrading talent.
TigerProwl24 0
We will finish very strong this year but the success we're having, will really affect the upcoming years. Which is a very good thing seeing the 2012 class looks downright beastly and maybe the best in years! and to add a little bit to this, it's crazy how special seasons can translate to kids growing up fans of the school for several years to come. Take Robenson Therezie for example, he has been liking AU ever since the special 2004 season and his nickname is actually "Cadillac" and that season was six years ago. He is not the only recruit that has liked AU starting back then. This season is actually HUGE for the impact it will have on future recruiting, with the exposure of being a national contender and having a Heisman award contender. Most of the positives you mention, especially the NC, usually have a bigger impact on the next season's recruiting more than the current season's recruiting...And correct me if I am wrong but the only players we have missed that we were leading were Blakely and Hart. That does not seem like many to me especially when you consider the Backs we are recruiting now are nothing to sneeze at. It could be a blessing in disguise because we may just steal a super stud like Aaron Harris, whom i doubt we go after if we got Blakely and/or Hart. So be patient. I am sure you will love the presents (I mean recruits) you will get on Christmas (I mean NSD).

I don't think the coaches are worried or you would see us offering a bunch of UAB commits. The coaches know what is really going on and I am sure we have silent commits. It is not a great thing to have your class packed right now. It will turn away recruits because of other committed players and players change their mind and decommitments look bad. It is better to create a huge buzz right at the end with several big commitments and let it pull in others wanting to be a part of something special. Plus keeps recruits from thinking about other players they will have to compete with.

Rickys Rants 0
If Michael Dyer was a senior we would have 5* RBs beating down our door trying to sign with Auburn, but Mr. Dyer has THREE YEARS of eligibility left and he is a STUD!!!

If you were thinking that last year was the norm as far as RB recruiting went, you are terribly mistaken. Agree 100%. When you recruit all the big time recruits against all the big time schools, you're going to lose as many as you get. This is true for any school, with the exception of maybe Texas. It's just big time recruiting...and unfortunatly the way it is.
