mnmtigerfans@charter.net 0
OK before I start this off let me explain to you I am completely bias. I hate all things bama period! Now with that being said, let's take a good long look, at their body of work this year. Week one they played SJS clearly not a power house football team. Week two they played Penn State. State fielded their first ever rookie QB, and trust me it showed. Still with all that in their favor bama could only muster a 24-3 victory. Next came DUKE yet another pancake. The following week bama played Arkansas a pretty good SEC team. What happened that day was tragic. Patrino had bama beat altered his strategy and allowed bama to claw back in and take a 24-20 victory. The next week they played Florida. The most hyped game of the year. Problem being this year Florida stinks, and has little talent. Bama won 31-6. The next week bama played South Carolina, and lost 35-21. Then Ole Miss 23-10, and finally Tenn 41-10. To presume that alabama can win the Iron bowl is a stretch, even given home field advantage, and here is why I say that. In their entire body of work this year bama has only played TWO teams of quality. Arkansas, and South Carolina. I watched both games. Arkansas should have beaten bama, hands down. Not only, did they have them, they should have killed them. I blame that entire loss on coaching strategy. Patrino choked!!! He got all excited to have the lead, and tried to protect it instead of just going on with his game plan. The second team of quality they played South Carolina. Although south Carolina may have been a bit out matched in the news papers ,they looked very even on the field. They had a running game, and a passing game, Their balance was too much for Bama, not only did they expose the young secondary, but ponded the rock when needed. It was no fluke a two touchdown victory says it all. This next week bama will face LSU. To me Auburn handled LSU pretty well, on both sides of the ball. I don't think LSU is really all that good of a team. Id put Arkansas over them myself, still bama is going to pull out all the stops on this game. To them it is essential to win this game, not only to stay alive in the SEC race but in the NC race which they should clearly be out of in my opinion. Let's say the hat pulls another doo doo and allows his team to lose to bama. Look for the whole thing to come down to the Iron Bowl, and bank on an Auburn victory. Face facts bama is good only in the newspapers
87aubie 0
I want to beat Bama as much as anybody. That said, they have a very good football team. Given that the game is in TTown, it will take our best effort to beat them. Not saying we can't. We will just have to play a very good game to do it. 87aubie 0
Players and coaches, yes. Fans can think about pretty much anything as it has no effect on the outcome of the game.
stryker 0
I disagree. Some of the fans are Auburn students who see players on a daily basis. They do have influence. The only thing they should be mentioning to the players is Ole Miss. This thought is not original to me, I got it from coach Dye. On Monday he warned the Auburn fans (students) how important it is to forget LSU, National Championships, alabama, and only talk to the players about Ole Miss. I have to be honest, I fight daily with myself to take this advice.
87aubie 0
OK. I don't see many players up here in north Alabama. But I'm with ya. Beat the black bears, er, rebs, er, whatever we call them now.

kAmU 1
I just want both teams to win out so this Iron Bowl will be one for the ages. I predicted an undefeated Iron Bowl at the beginning of the year but as of now thanks to USCe that won't happen. I want this Iron Bowl to be historic. NavyNightmare 0
As long as this is the SEC, I'll never count my chickens before they hatch. You never know when it comes to SEC football.

My dislike and disdain for bama doesn`t do any good right now. We have 2 more conference games before then. I am and always have been a play them as you come to them kind of guy. No disrespect but I wish we could block all the bammer post until after Gawja. Just saying and I know it won`t happen. Just wishing.
