rollsroyce5 0
Man, I know that we're only 8 games into 2010 and in the middle of a special NC title run, but after hearing all the talking heads mentioning all season long that we have such a favorable schedule this year with all of our toughest games being at home except for the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare West, has anyone thought about how difficult our schedule will be next year with trips to Uga, LSpoo, Arky, USC, & Clemson? au_weagle 0
Don't forget Flordia coming to town at home. I can't wait for that, It'll be Cam's best game of his career. But I agree, aside from Bama and Florida, or home schedule is kinda lame. With the Miss's (pun intended) and 3 cupcakes. Looks like we show the SEC how well we travel next year. SKIPPER 0
The schedule has been that way since the conference expanded in 1992. (Tough games away, IB at home...and visa versa) Bama's is the same way. It's been like that for awhile and won't change. 2007 schedule: AT Florida AT LSU AT Arkansas AT Georgia
au_weagle 0
Yes but if you notice there are 5 cycling games of alternation difficulty. Florida, Vandy, Tennessee, Kentucky, SCe, and back again. We pick up the home team each year and drop the way team from the previous. Last time (07) around Florida was home when Bama was away. This time Florida and Bama are home together. So it is really a 10 year cycle before we have an identical SEC schedule. So it'll be for the next 5 years....Hard team, Bama in one spot UGA LSU ARKY in the other.... The past 5 years it has been Bama in one spot... UGA LSU ARKY and Kard Team in the other.... so the next 5 years won't be so drastic.
rollsroyce5 0
I didn't forget about the gaytors at home. I was just mentioning how all the away games will be tough next year. If we can have repeat success next year, we would deserve something else in addition to a NC, lol. I mean that would be in all likelyhood, what, about 7-8 ranked teams on the schedule at the very least.

Two of the TBA in that list are USCe and Arky...not really cupcakes galore when filling in those two TBA slots. Now at home, yes, outside of the Gaytors and Bammer, we do have a weak slate. NavyNightmare 0
wonder which week will be our bye week. Bammers would throw it up again if it was the week before the ironbowl.
87aubie 0
Our bye week has been the week before the IB almost every year for as long as I can remember. If it were up to me, I'd probably try to have it around week 8. I'd like to get three nonconference and four conference games down. Have the off week. Come back with three conference games, then HC (which usually amounts to an off week) and then Bama.
AU60 0
I doubt the bye week will change. It has been that way for a good while. Pat Dye insisted on that because A*****a always had a bye when they played us and we went into the game after playing Florida and Georgia (the amen corner). NavyNightmare 0
Alabama has a pretty good thing going. They get their bye week in the middle of the season, then play a cream puff before the ironbowl. Well, at least we can give the starters a breather at homecoming. rollsroyce5 0
When was the last time that we even had a game b/t Uga and the Iron Bowl? Has it ever happened? I mean I'm only 32 but I can't remember it ever happening.
