Maybe it's entertainment, but Gameday and CF Live just love to pick against our Tigers.

First it was Starkville on a Thursday Night

Then it was Parker at Gameday.

Then it was Lattimore and a stingy defense

Then it was a desperate Kentucky homestand

Then it was Mallet

Then it was the LSU D

and now it's the #1 curse.

They can keep picking against us as far as I'm concerned because unlike in 2004, their opinions and influence can't keep up out of the NC game this year. I'm still pissed with Corso the way he pumped us up after we manhandled Uga and then degraded our defense when we let UT back into the SEC championship game before we ended with a comfortable 10 point win. I can still hear his old @ss saying, 'the #2 team in the country? who? those guys? not with that defense, huh.'

What really burns me up about '04 was how all the conservations were about who should be #2 to USC being #1. Nevermind that USC had more close calls than either us or Oklahoma including a win over their archrival that was less than a TD either the same day or a week after we beat the turds by 8 when they scored a last minute TD to make the score closer.

Gameday has unanimously picked us for 2 consec. weeks.  Other media outlets have picked against us each and every week (cbs sports, cnn, espn.com, etc), but Gameday has jumped on the bandwagon it seems.

Not so fast my friend!!!  Fowler did a triple not so fast and picked LSU last week.  Howard, Herbie, and Corso all picked AU.

I don't care who picks whom, period!!  Let's face it, we're not human if we don't have doubts about the outcome of the game in Oxford.  I will never pick against Auburn, but I'm a member of the Auburn family.  These other guys have two agendas: first, they want to act like they know what they're talking about (expert), and second, they want to be the first and only to predict an upset (ego).  Like most of you, I love it when they pick against us, because it has zero effect on the outcome.  Most everyone will pick us this week, and I'd rather they didn't, but again, it won't mean anything.

No, there will some that go for the upset win. I don't see it happening. This team knows they have too many areas of improvement to be cocky but they have enough belief to be confident. What needs to happen is Auburn take the #1 ranking in stride and beat back anybody who dares to try and take it.

I didn't even notice Fowler pick...i thought just desmond, lee, and herbie picked.  I pay the show no attention at the tailgate spot until they are picking the AU game...
