Someone on here was saying they bet $250 on us to win it before the season at 64-1. Wish I could get those odds now.

No kidding. Obviously I want AU to win it all, but I really enjoy seeing people do well, that would be amazing. I did not say anything when I posted it, but find it a bit surprising more people are on Boise st then AU considering we control our own destiny and they do not. On top of all of this, if Michigan St wins at Iowa (may not but they could), it is highly unlikely they lose a game with Minnesota, Purdue and Penn St left, all games they should win easily. If both Michigan St and Boise St go undefeated, Boise St is out I think. Also, laying $245 to win $100 on Cam to win the Heisman looks really good right about now...

I was out with a buddy on Monday and he mentioned that one of his best friends had put a grand on AU to win at the start of the season at 54-1.  He also said he offered his friend $5,000 on the spot to buy the bet from him.  Of course his friend declined ;D .

Gotta love this year  :yay:

Was he joking or does he want to hedge and make sure he makes a profit? If it is the latter, he needs to sit down and bet Auburn on the money line until we lose one or he wins the $54,000...He'll need to do the math and adjust as the games go by, but if he does it correctly he can guarantee between $10,000 or so and $30,000 or so (estimates, but in range without knowing the spreads of Georgia, Bama, etc. yet)...

I am backwards on what I said.  He would need to take Auburn's opponents not Auburn, one game at a time. The longer he waits the more he will make if Auburn runs the table so long as we keep winning...

Might have gotten a few to many pronouns in there.  Lets call my buddy Joe and his friend Tom.  Tom placed the $1,000 at 54-1 on AU to win it all.  Joe finds this out and offers Tom $1,000 for his bet guaranteeing Tom a profit of $4,000 on his bet with no further risk of loss while Joe to takes on more risk but locks in 54-1 odds on what is now going at appx 9-1.  Tom declined the offer opting to take the risk on the 54K.
