trap game

Trap games are for teams who are cruisin in the season believing the hype. AU has worked for everything they have gotten. They know one play could have changed the outcome of 2-3 games. They believe they have nothing to celebrate yet and there is work left to do. They will be coming out with the same focus as they have all season. I don't see a trap game this Saturday.

did fans or the media coin trap game?  :dunno: i dont think the players or coaches even care about what time of the season it is. game by game is what i keep hearing from anybody remotely involved with the AU football program!

i dont see this as a trap game at all....the reason for that is because we have chattanooga next week....if we had georgia next weekend i think it could be a letdown game...but it wont be

IMO, this is going to be a very very tough game.  Ole Miss is going to give everything they have and we will have our hands full for sure.

But what exactly do they have? A bunch of gimmicks is what it looks like to me.

The starters know they will have next week to rest. This week, it's time to take care of business. I hope the DEs do a good job of not letting Masoli scramble out of the pocket. If they come out ready to play, I can see a statement game made.

I agree tha Ole Miss will give it's best effort; however when a team with superior talent and focus plays one of these type games, all that needs to be done is to squash the lesser team immediatly and repeatedly until they loose all hope of victory. When that happens, it is as they say, over!

I hope it's over early.

Trap games only happen to teams that are used to everything coming easy... Our team is far from that.. They've had to claw and fight to win, and I doubt they take any game for granted.
