How much does the media influence your decision?

The media!  The media!  These people seem to influence our decisions about our own football team.  People of Auburn, these folks have no right and should have no influence about  how we should feel about OUR Auburn Tigers!  Oregon wins BIG over USC which is down this year.

And yet some of us seem to be relunctant to meet Oregan for the MNC game. Why?  Our biggest tests in front of us are not who or how we should play for the MNC, but how do we beat UGA and how in the world do we muster our best game to beat UAT...at UAT.  Folks, we're getting down to the nitty gritty, but we have the most important games of the season in front of us.  CGC understands this and I'm sure will do his best to prepare our Tigers for the upcoming games.  Those of us who bleed orange and blue, and see the world thru O/B glasses will understand the following statement.  We must go undefeated in the SEC!  Then and only then will we have a better than average chance of bringing the MNC home to Auburn University.  JMO  :wareagle:

Saulty I see what you are saying, but I don't think it is fans letting the media influence how we feel about our team as it is the disrespect that comes with their opinions and what they say. It is frustrating and stems from prior exclusion due to the same disrespect. However, I agree it will just take Auburn to win each of their last 3 games and the SECCG and Auburn will be in the BCSCG regardless if it is as #1 or #2.

The disrespect is just so frustrating. :banghead:

Tigerbelle!  Don't you dare allow yourself (nor any of you) to fall into the disrespect that the media is showing our Tigers.  This is their goal.  We are the best all-around team in the nation this year and probably the best team in the nation for many years (including last year's MNC).  Doesn't lessen my concern about the remaining games, but I still have confidence that we will win...and maybe even take those teams to the woodshed.  We definitely have what it takes, so let's just stand behind them and give our support.  JMO  :wareagle:

Its ok brother, Ive been drinking too but that post was a lil' bit all over the place.

Yes, we are looking hard at Ga. and the turds.

Our D is still open when you get into the secondary. Both UA and UG know this and they are studying it. I think we could out score them both. I dont know if we could stop them.

WE DO NOT HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP D. We DO have a CHAMPIONSHIP O. I think we need at least a top 3 or 4 D in the SEC To win it all.

Ive been lookin at our D and shaking my head no" sence the begining of the year, We have a but load of new and old talent there this year. "What gives?" our D still gave up over 400 yards of land to the bad guys last night.

Playing in the SEC we are lucky how far we have came with that kind of play. We have came to a point that we are happy outscoring the other teams O, instead of stopping them in their tracks with the D. That cant last forever.

This is the SEC where BIG D wins championships.

We have 3 prob 4 games left, we can still work on the secondary, OR, start looking for someone who can fix it next year. "It doesnt hurt to look" This years run will open up a new market of talent in defensive coaching for us.

This is our once in a long time chance to win it all. If we dont, I will be pointing the finger. Alot of folks will be pointing at the same guy with me.

Yes, we are winning and Im happy! But if we dont win out, it will be for one reason. The secondary.

It just makes me sooo mad that we could be national champs. but we are sooo weak in a spot that we have sooo much talent in.

Just my thoughts.

Not sure what you mean, but I am frustrated by the MEDIA not giving Auburn it's due. That's been going on for way too long.

That doesn't mean I don't think Auburn is the best team in the nation, because I do. I'm ALL IN.

I don't think anyone on here doesn't think Auburn can hang with Oregon. I think the reason most people want them to lose is because of the fact that Oregon and Auburn are so similar but for some reason Auburn has a 'Gimmick' Offense. Or Cam is the only player on our team. Our defense is awful but when Oregon goes out and gives up the same amount of points/yards they are a good defense.

Not only that but Oregon has played NO ONE this year. It's pathetic when you look at that joke of a schedule and realize that all of their stats are skewed by weak competition. I want all these weak BCS busters to lose because I think that there are more deserving teams other then Boise State, TCU, Utah, and Oregon. Teams that have to go out each and every week and play touch competition.
