I saw this tweet on another site:

"Auburn has defeated 4 teams currently ranked in AP top 25, no other undefeated team has taken down more than 1".

How could Oregon, Boise State, or TCU claim to have deserved the high ranking/attention compared to the accomplishments of Auburn???

Look, Auburn controls its own destiny so the heads have to induce controversy where they can. As far as polls are viable, the "Human Polls" everyone so loves are the most biased and subjective. The heads influence those voters (as much as they can) through the public media, twitter and all.

Look what the Brothers Stoop did in 2004.

Check Herbstreit - he was Auburn before anyone and now is beating the Boise band wagon. Why do they do this? Because the computers ignore the emotion and use only the facts they are programmed to use. And as far as I can tell, I'm not sure there is one computer algorithm that is best - so they use four. The other two thirds is a beauty contest and thank goodness Auburn is photogenic.

Again - Auburn owns its own result and as long as Chizik and Co continue to win, we get prettier and only a troll like the Stoops can vote negative. And like 2004, they will be exposed in their final vote.

We started out in a bad position and pollsters hate saying they were wrong until they are proven wrong.  We actually jumped higher in the AP and Coaches polls a week earlier than I thought, I was thinking it would take the LSU win to put us in the top 4 or 5 and we actually jumped to 5 after the Arkansas win.  We are fine right now, let the polls work themselves out in the end, but I will give this warning: If Boise State is left out of the argument, they will really make an argument to the AP and possibly get a split championship like in 2003 with LSU/USC.

Speaking of Stoops, did ya'll see what he said after their loss?  Down by nine points with over 2 minutes left and they have the ball.  HE PUNTS!!  Said in a presser after the game that he didn't want to go for the first down, because if OU doesn't make it, they give them good field position and a chance to score again.  His final comment:  THAT WOULDN'T LOOK GOOD TO THE PEOPLE VOTING IN THE POLLS!!

Yes and if he had the ball inside the 5 on a team like LSU with a 7 point lead with 40 seconds left and LSU having no timeouts, he would try to score another 7 so the people voting in the polls would like the score a little better

Since my choice last week of Michigan State going to the big game failed miserably and I jinxed them I'm going to pick another team to go. ;)

TCU!

That Utah game if they win is going to shoot them past Boise State in the polls, in my honest opinion. I don't think Oregon is going to go through unscathed.

TCU vs. Auburn. :D
