I think its only a matter of time before the defense puts it all together.  They played very well last week, but just let a few too many big plays.  They really are close to getting it all together i think.

Defense is steadily improving. DBs seem to be getting better every game ... as soon as we get Bell back to add depth, I truly believe we will be ready for the stretch run.

Special teams has been very good.  I appreciate that a lot after last year's craziness.  D is improving slowly but surely.  I am liking Chris Davis.

We still haven't had a complete game yet, we have been close but still haven't put it all together yet. This team hasn't peaked either, I hope that we peak right at the BCSNCG and blow Oregon out of Glendale.

Well, the offense hit stride weeks ago (for me it happened against South Carolina), and they show no signs of slowing down. The defense has been suspect all season, but they have made plays when they had to, so that's big. Overall, I think we are at the best place we could have realistically expected to be, but we aren't there yet.

Agreed, about the second half of the Clemson game the offense got their identity and haven't looked back. This past game at ol miss has me very excited about the offense for the rest of the season. They showed something completely different than what you saw the previous three or four games. Georgia and Bama DCs better start sweating.

Special teams have been good this year which is awesome cause they were horrible last year. Punt return is non-existant but as long as they don't turn it over I won't complain. Learn to catch it this year and worry about the return part next year. Kick off coverage has gotten better and better all year and Byrum seems to be solid after a few misses earlier in the year. And kick return is Awesome and seem one miss tackle away form taking to the house everytime.

Defense is better now than the beginnig of the season. Don't know if it was just me, but I thought they made ol miss fight for everything they got (except one run there). Not a great defense but if they can continue at the level they are at and continue to get us a turnover or two a game, I don't see a team out there that can beat us.

War Eagle!! Loving this year and this team  :wedance:

+1 for special teams. those guys made as much improvement from last year as is possible to make! I believe that aspect has a lot to do with us being undefeated. it definitely isnt getting the recognition it deserves. I have been very proud of the defense as well. those guys took a ton of grief and had every excuse in the book to fold and all they did was step up and get better each time out. it takes fortitude to stand in the face of critics and prove them wrong. my hats off to those guys! right now they are playing better than they get credit for. they might not be a great defense yet but they are just a few small corrections away from being there. just like a rear view mirror, they are closer than they appear.  :wareagle:

I know one thing:Demond has made great strides. I think Chris Davis and he will make good corners.

You realize Demond is a senior, right?

I think the team has made huge improvements since the beginning of the season.  The "O" is unstoppable and the "D" is improving every week.  It's gonna be great when they PEAK at the right time.  These coaches know what they are doing.

Ah, musta slipped my mind. Thank you.

No worries. Jonathan Rose is going to be a stud, and with Neiko around for another year plus two from Bell and three from Davis, I think we'll have talent on the corner, it's just a matter of them stepping up.

McNeal is going to be tough, along with White and Smith. If we lock up Florence and Roberson =  sick nasty.

I was just talking about corners, and not including Roberson because I don't know our status with him right now. At safety, McNeal is already making waves, Florence is almost a certain lock, and Lanier looks like a stud, and he will still have three years of eligibility coming out of JUCO. Chizik and Co. are bringing in the guys they need at the places they need them.

I've thought about this for a while and I think we play to our opponents level. I don't know how to really compare from start of the season to now because it is pretty much the same.

Except in the second half of the Miss game.We seem to be toying with them.
