Mark Schlabach on the Iron Bowl...

I used to think he was one of the better informed fellas on ESPN, but I guess not. He noted that you "obviously have to give the edge" to Bama since the Iron Bowl is in Tuscaloosa this year. By my count, we have only lost in that toilet bowl of a stadium 1 time. That is all.

I understand our record in BDS, but it is still considered home field for them and theoretically should give them the advantage.  I don't mind the lack of confidence, it'll just make the win that much better.

That's not an uninformed comment.  Since the LaMo debacle in Saban's first year, I don't think they've lost a home game.  BDS at 100k plus fans is as much an advantage for them as JHS is for us.  That said, I still like our matchup with them.  I think we can dominate the line play on both sides of the ball, and that spells trouble for the Tide.  I like AU by 10 in the IB (if it were played today).

Unfortunately for us, Bama will be a 2 maybe 3 loss team when IB gets here.  This isn't the 2009 Bama team.  Look back at their games this year.  AU will be a 7pt favorite.

Schlabauch is not wrong in thinking this way.  I would give a slight edge to BAMA at this time too.  I do think we beat them tho.  Before you say it......these two things do NOT contridict each other either.  The first statement was totally objective.  The second is what I feel in my navy/burnt orange heart!

AU will be a 7 pt favorite? I don't know  what you've been drinking but please, do not drive until you are sober.

Not so fast my friend.  Take the whole statement in context.  If Bama loses to LSU and/or MSU, AU could very well be a touchdown favorite.  Bama may lose one of their next two, but I'd be very surprised if they lose them both.

The thing that worries me the most about playing there this year is not the team but the size of the place. These guys have not played in an environment like that this year.

The largest stadium we have played in is what, Miss St?

It will be an eye opener, especially for the freshmen.

UT was bigger last year.  I was there.  It did not cause any problems.

You've been brainwashed by the sports media.  Everyone is expecting Saban to resurrect last year's bama team.  It ain't gonna happen.  They might get LSU, but MSU will take them down.  I hope they win out until IB, but it is very unlikely.

Bammer's buy more papers and watch more tv than auburn fans do so the more that writers and tv talking heads spout off about bammer the more viewers they get. I have been watchig css's talkin footabll and they dedicate huge parts of the show to how bammer could get into the Bcs chamionship. Maybe they truly believe it maybe it is because two of the guys are uga guys in schlabach and barnhart while the 3rd guy neal is a michigan yankee and they can't stand auburn success. I don't know but my guess is it is just good business to keep as many eyes and customers buying and watching their product as possible. After all bammer's would buy used toilet paper if it had little sabear's approval.

Dang, I've been called a moron and a drunk on this board within the last 2 hours.  Is anyone keeping score.  Is that a record?  Will anyone get upset if I start posting "I told you so" threads in a couple of weeks?

That would be a great idea for a sticky thread.  I know you were being sarcastic, but wouldn't it be fun to have a thread where everyone could post their "I told you so" moments?

WDE!!!

This guy is an UGA homer. He will say anything to make Auburn look bad. I remember one article back in the day he was talking bad about us and I wrote him basically calling him and idiot. The surprising thing though is he actually wrote me back. At least he is good for that.

Teams with a ton of seniors like AU are not affected as much by going on the road. We will also have a bye week to prepare. If we go in 11-0, our guys will know that they have to win.

The Turds will pack the out house for us.  100K+ will be formidable to say the least.  This O doesnt seem to mind road noise.

Today        Turds 3 pt fav

Gameday    Turds 7 pt fav.

Still think Cam and this O refuse to loose.

Au              41

Turds          33

That is the stupidest argument on your part. I guess Auburn should've had the edge in 2008

I suppose when your sample size is as small as the few games Auburn has played against Bama.

But if you want to stick with your theory, Auburn has virtually no chance of beating UGA in 11 days. I mean UGA has owned Jordan Hare. Auburn has won only twice in the last 20 years at home.

Also, Auburn better hope they never play the following teams EVER. They surely will lose:

Camp Greenleaf

Davidson

Marquette

Manhattan

Maxwell Field

Memphis

Missouri

Oklahoma

Rice

SMU

Santa Clara

South Florida

SE Louisiana

Texas Tech

There you have it. If Auburn ever schedules SE Louisiana for a non-conference game, you can bet that ceo0003 will be completely worried and expect Auburn to be the underdog.

Baller, why do you feel it neccesary to be inflamatory with your responses?  Does it make you feel superior?  Try toning down the aggresiveness of your replies.  There are better ways to get your point across.  Ways that develope the dialogue rather than quell it. Right now the only thing coming across is your abrasiveness.

Why is everyone shocked by these statements?  Can someone list Bama's quality wins this year?
