2004? or 2010?

I think our guys are used in more effective ways with the 2010 offense. But man that 2004 Offense was just loaded. I know I am just stating the obvious here but just 2 completely different teams, so hard to say. I would definitely say this years offense, its shattering the record books. But I guess what I was saying is why its hard because you can only wonder what our boys from 2004 could have done in a Malzahn Offense.

One I would like to know....Who would win the battle between the 2010 Offense against the 2004 defense?

2010 by far.  2004 was decent (and incredibly clutch...how many 3rd and 4ths and longs did we convert that year?), but they didn't quite have this "unstoppable" feel.

2010 offense is so much different its hard to tell for sure. 2010 offense has to put up sick numbers for us to win. 04 offense was very good but didnt need to score but avg. about 14 points a game, then they went into protect  mode. the 04 team overall was better imo because the defense was great. this team will accomplish more because of the situation.

As great as they were, I think the 2010 offense would win out against the 2004 defense.

I felt that the 2004 offense was unequivocally unstoppable and dominant. I personally think their hands were tied.

If they played head-to-head I'd take 2010 for the fact that 2004 was a run first team and our defense has done an outstanding job of stopping the run this year. And I don't believe the 2004 defense could stop our offense.

It'd be a really close game and it could go either way.

I agree '10 has the better offense, but I am gonna tell ya '04 was better than just "decent". 3 first round NFL draft picks in that draft alone.

'04 Defense was as dominant of a squad as Ive seen in my lifetime....  The only reason this years Offense COULD get shutdown by Chizik's '04 D is the Secondary IMO....  Cam might have played vs. a comparable front 7 but not with a combined Secondary with the likes of Rogers, Rosegreen, Herring, and Pitts !!

All of these DB's were great tacklers along with excellent coverage skills !!

I think he was referring to 3 1st round picks on offense.
