AUBURN VS OREGON BY THE NUMBERS

This week I did a break down of both UTC and Oregon

Remember..... Statistics do not Lie!   Tell me what you guys think!

On Paper Oregon is the better team.  But they also have a very weak strength of schedule.  I believe we would put a butt whoopin on them.

Hate to say it but Oregon is statistically the better team... BUT they definitely don't play the schedule that we play.

Oregon's defensive stats are inflated with poor opponents and the fact that they have gotten SO MANY turnovers.

Over half of Oregon's games this season are against teams that Auburn would schedule for Homecoming.  How do you think our stats would look if we played Oregon's schedule? It's comparing apples to oranges!

Most of the teams that Oregon has played are comparable to La Monroe. Auburn beat them 52-3. That is what we would have beat most of the teams Oregon has played by. The only 2 teams that with a good O that Oregon has faced both scored over 30 on their D. They haven't played an O anywhere near the caliber of Auburn's.

I think the Arky St. team we played the first game of this year is a better team than any that Oregon has played this year. It's going to be great watching them struggle to score pts against us as we hang 60 pts on them in the MNC game. Their only strength is James and thier running game. Unfortunately for them it will do them no good against Auburns front 7. they will be embarrased When we whoop that ass on National TV.

Compairing stats between Oregon and Auburn is impossible as they are playing Junior high teams and Auburn is playing teams that are the closest you can get to the NFL without being in the NFL. Even Vandy is a better overall team than Oregon, Just ask Arkmart.

One thing that sticks out: even with their poor SOS, they still have a worse rushing defense than we do.  We've got a LOT of work to do to get there, but if we were to play them, it would be fun game to watch.

The numbers say Oregon. Their SOS is weak in my opinion but the computers say different.

They look good on T.V. too even with the gimmicky uniforms.

They will not have to play a conf title game and will not have suffered the attrition that an SEC school would.

Its like they get to play scrimmage games all year.

Even with that. If we played this week I would pick AU.

Im not looking past the desperate coach at UGA for now.

Oregon's stats should mellow out a bit, at least on the defensive side.  They are now in the hardest part of their schedule.

If we play them it would be matching score for score.  The one with the fewer turnovers without alot of penelties would probably win.  I like our chances with our 4th quarter D.
