tylerh87 0
The Mocs (5-3, 4-2 SoCon ) step outside Football Championship Subdivision play and head to Jordan-Hare Stadium to battle the Tigers (9-0, 6-0 SEC). The series dates back 1926 with Auburn taking all 20 meetings. The last matchup occurred on Sept. 9, 1995.

People keep misquoting this. They have not played the last three national champions. The past three BCS NC were LSU (07), Florida (08), and Bama (09). UTC played Bama last year and Oklahoma (who lost to Florida) in 08. They did not play LSU in 07. The last three Heisman winners were Tebow (07), Bradford (08), and Ingram (09). UTC faced Ingram last year and Bradford in 08. Florida didn't play UTC during Tebow's time at Florida.

kingofhill1 2
Auburn beat them in 1971 with Sullivan and Beasley. The score was 60 - 7. I know because I was a senior in High School. I tried to get some "action." I wound up having to give Chattanooga and 49 points. If I had made every bet I was offered I would be rich today. That year Pat won the Heisman but we lost the Iron Bowl.
