From my perspective there's really nothing new here.  It's just his opinion based on what the public "knows" so far.  The NCAA "could" have asked him to sit before this as well and they haven't.

Guest midnight

NCAA "could" or "could have" already.

repeating phillip marshall from sports call, if ncaa was to request newton sit out saturday, they probably do it sometime tonight

I believe Auburn fans should be granted a degree in journalism after this past week, through all this bull we've had to witness.

This is a journalist taking Marshall's article and running with it. This is a "possibility", just like the "possibility" of something coming out of the investigation.

I think Cam will play Saturday. CGC has said it, and the University has backed it.

Unless they have good, credible evidence they will not do that.  They will not do this based on an MSU booster and former player changing a story to take the onus off of himself.

Guys and gals, quit giving this idea any more pub. Just refer to the thread at the top of the boards. Cam is eligible and going to play. NONE of todays news is anything new. Calm down folks.

Front page says "may", title page says "could"

Or they "could" be based off of new statements being made this afternoon.

But, I have ordered my SEC Champ tickets tonight, so I am staying positive through faith.

Why would they let him start and play ten of the twelve games on the schedule and jerk him out now?

What do they know now that they didn't know before the season started?

Someone help me out here.

Nothing new has come out. Rogers is just dripping little crap here and there to make it seem believable. If all this crap was as incriminating and clear cut as they make it seem Cam would be on the bench from day one.

The only possibility is that MSU did not report the hotel meeting issue or the phone calls....which is somewhat confirmed per the SEC spokesman Charles Bloom.

Now they know or are hearing of the meeting so they are opening the investigation back up.

Or it could be a ploy to keep this all going on AND on AND on AND on until my wife leaves me for being on this message board too much.

Still the NCAA would have to get confirmation from somebody other than Rogers to sustantiate asking Auburn to sit him down.  They would not do it based on a statement by Rogers that is 180 degrees from a statement he made six days ago.
