Is exit 51 still to be avoided on gamedays?

If so, which is the best way to go if you're coming from the south on 85? Has traffic been worse than usual with the exit under construction?

Thank You in advance :) .

I either get off Wire Road or even Notasulga and go in on Hwy 14. For the Citadel game, I actually drove past Exit 51 (had plenty of cars backed up on the exit) and drove to Exit 57. Then drove into town on Glenn which had no traffic whatsoever. But then again, this was the Citadel game.

I try to stay away from Exit 51 both before and after the game.

It just dawned on me what a lucky son-of-a-gun I am this year. My lovelly bride and I drive down on Friday nights and stay with our oldest daughter at her apt.

(Easy WALKING distance to the stadium) :big:

Sorry for rubbin' it in...Well, NOT really! :)

I have always used Wire Rd. Mimimal traffic on that road on gameday.

I went to the Citadel game and traffic was as light as I've ever seen it. I was able to drive completly around the campus and park right across from Toomer's corner.

I was shocked.

Well you got me beat on regularity, but sat. will be very cool for me. I scored a couple of tickets to the la. tech game. They are primo covered seats with a parking pass and free food!

So suck on that, I'll be thinking of you if it rains! :P;)

I would be careful these days though. If no traffic, you better be doing the 45 mph speed limit.... For 7 years i ahve come and gone from Auburn via wire road and now they have decided state troopers need to be there... grrrr....:angry:
