Id like to apologize on behalf of sane, literate, and Non-Braindead Alabama fans for that last caller.

He is the reason there is a stereotype regarding alabama fans. 900 bama fans can call in and talk about how good AU is doing this year...and all it takes is one 50 something hick redneck to call in and talk about National Titles....and all the credibility is out the window.

However, we Auburn people do know that: (1) Finescum plays to the audience, nine-tenths of which are Alabama fans; (2) HE views HIS s how as entertainment while many others view it as acid tongue remarks against anyone who happens to be "down". It's no secret that Bama has a larger following among non-college graduates or non-college students than Auburn does. The reason is that these people many times live a drab life and tend to hang their well-being or sense of purpose and pride on how the Tide fares, being the State University. They always felt good about t hemselves when Bryant won every Saturday and got addicted to the Tide and winning. Things change, however, and now they are frustrated, angry and bitter people who will no doubt become even more bitter and angry as the pendlum swings the other way for a change. It's no big deal to us and we actually feel sorry for people like Phyllis and Shane on Finescum as then continue to make total idiots and a**holes out of themselves and bring embarrassment to REAL Alabama graduates and fans. WDE!

Actually to be honest, the majority of older bama fans I meet in alabama have never even stepped foot in t-town in there WHOLE lives....

Older auburn fans you ask? The majority actually attended auburn.

Ive done some thinking, and ive come to the realization that probably a good 65% of bama fans are fans that jumped on the BAHR bandwagon with there families during the time he was at bama. Now that he is gone, you can really see the filter between bama alumni, and the bandwagon BAHR jumpers (theres just a tad difference, hah). The kings and queens of all rednecks in alabama just kind of forced there families in the 60s to be like," Oh ok...our state is doin pretty dang good there in dat dere foozball....yipee".
