The Chargers are releasing Marcus McNeil.....but he'll definitely be picked up by someone else.

The Rams are interested in signing Carlos Rogers.

NFL is a tough business...for the most part, players don't have guaranteed contracts and the length of careers is pretty short.    Manning is the exception ....14 years with the same team but even Peyton eventually is tossed out when he has outlived his usefulness.

I expect both our guys will get picked up by someone but at lower salary...and even there...there is no assurance they will make their new teams.

Saw where Jason Campbell signed with da Bears.

I think it's a good pick-up for the Bears.  They needed an experienced QB to backup Cutler last year when he got injured.

Does this mean that Campbell has resigned himself to being a back-up? I was a bit surprised to read where he signed with the Bears, knowing he'd be backing up Cutler. Imagine---an AU man backing up a Vandy man. Holy crap, Batman!!

Come on Saints!! Make this happen. Losing all-pro guard Nicks hurts but this will be pretty damn sweet. Think he'll fit nicely in N.O.

It's a done deal.  He signed a 5 year contract.

Grubbs got a 5 year $36M contract with the Saints. Nice work Ben! Should be a 3 time Pro Bowler, but still a great pickup for the Saints that will make that OL pretty impressive. NO drop off (maybe improvement) from Nicks but for $12M less. No-brainer IMO...
