Uhhh, I'm as mad as the next guy at the way his recruitment was handled but I don't want to see the kid get hurt. I only saw him play one time and it was one of the most impressive displays of a h.s. rb that I've ever seen. He will prob get mashed some but I expect he'll do his share of mashing too.

I predict him to win the Heisman before he leaves Bama.

He's as good as Lattimore; same type of back.

He definitely should win the Heisman before his college days are over barring injury.

It just hurts that he plays for Bama. No disrespect to any of our back as I think we are more than fine at RB, but it's gonna be tough seeing him win a Heisman and perhaps a NC when was commited to us for so long.

Who cares what TJ does?  He's a turd now.

Heisman??? Seriously?  The kid has never even played a down in college yet!!!

With the way he handled the recruiting process I hope he stinks it up on the field for the next four years....and being a turd, it should be easy to stink it up.  I do hope he gets his degree though.  He'll need it when this football thing doesn't work out.

Same type of predictions were made for Dyer before he got on campus as a freshman @ AU...

We all can see how that worked out...

It's all a freakin crap shoot - no one knows what these "kids" will do once they hit campus.  

There are/were TONS of guys with potential, some work hard and prove that they are worth all the hype - some go the opposite direction and are never heard from again.  

AU has had our far share of kids with potential that for a miriade of reasons literally wasted the chance of a lifetime.

If this guy stays healthy and out of trouble, he def. will be a finalist IMO

I've never seen the guy play, and I couldn't stomach watching their A-day.  But, with the guys ahead of him (Lacey/Fowler), has TJY go the size to even contribute this season, or will they redshirt him?

Depending on how he does in strength and conditioning during the off season and leading up to the season he very well could see playing time. I haven't seen anything particularly special from Lacey or Fowler so ya never know.

Can we just delete this crap? Put some big girl panties on and get over the fact that a bammer was a bammer to us. All the butt-hurt being shared was the whole goal. And HEISMAN??????????? Bama has 1 winner and it was a pity party for him after 3 other guys went down (McCoy, Bradford, Tebow). That bammer wont win a thing...... remember they have to beat us to win anything!

TJ is going to be a great back make no mistake about it. Arrogance and character are the questions. What he did during recruiting shows a lot of arrogance and a real lack of character. It may sound like sour grapes but even for an 18 year old he should have known how that whole thing went down was wrong. With that said he is in exactly the right place for hm.

Even TJ doesn't believe that, or he would have signed with Auburn.

Why do you think that would've been enough to sign him?

I don't know enough about the kid to judge his athletic ability, potential or his character.

I'm not willing to judge another kid after what we went through with Mike Dyer.  MD had all the athletic ability, and potential that was through the roof, then ended up with a "real lack of character", I don't know if arrogance was MD's problem or just plain stupidity.  We (AU fans) are in no position to point fingers at anyone else after the bad luck kids this program has had to deal with for the past 12-14 months. :banghead:

I guess I'm assuming that for him to lead the team in rushing, he would have to be the starting tailback.  I seriously doubt he originally committed to Auburn for the sole purpose of screwing us over in the end.  The bama argument of an easier path to the starting job is the most logical explanation of his switching.

Unless I'm supposed to go with "them bammers paid him and his family"   ;D
