FoleyLion 0
Inexperience=not having started for more than 1-2 years. I classify experianced as a 2-3 year starter or major contributer for 2-3 years. Depth chart for offense- Auburn: 7 seniors and 4 juniors (the turds: 3 seniors and 8 juniors) defense- Auburn: 6 seniors and 9 juniors (the turds: 4 seniors and 8 juniors) Anyone care to guess who has more playing time experience? Auburn sophs or the turds juniors? Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/122041-need-help-understanding/#findComment-1579034 Share on other sites

Unfortunately the media has a crush (that's a family-safe adjective btw) on Mighty Mouse over there, so according to the media this turd team will be the greatest ever forever. I think the loss of TRich is gonna hurt them a lot more than they think.. Effin turds. He won't fill the void left by TRich. Dude is a monster. The point remains though. They lost a lot of productivity on both sides of the ball. I think the media influence on fans on the state of their program plays a pretty big role in pre-season perception. They'll loose a few games. On defense we have 3 seniors Evans, Bates, Bell.....That's all I'm seeing there. Look at the top of the topic board under Auburn predicted depth chart. Did you mean Sophomores instead of Seniors ? TigerPaw1 0
What would you guess the average amount of experience (in terms of years) starters in the SEC will have this year? 6 or 7 years maybe??? Trying to understand the term "inexperienced" We are inexperienced in key positions. The OL, QB, and LB core. We will be starting at least 2 freshman, 2 sophomores and a senior on the OL. Our QB is most likely gonna be a sophomore QB that has never done more than run the read option. Our LB core has only one player starting right now that has played a full season. That's what people are talking about when they say inexperienced. Trying to understand the term "inexperienced" Inexperience, to me, can also apply to a veteran player who is trying to learn a new o or d. It is for this reason that, imo, we aren't much more "experienced" this year than last. Even so, I expect a better showing. He said depth chart, not starting lineup. Stallworth and Benton are both seniors, though I don't know who the seventh one he's referring to is, and on defense...hmm, Ikeem Means is a senior, not sure about the other one. But then I haven't actually looked at the depth chart in a while. Add in the fact that both sides of the ball have new Coord's with a whole new system/scheme's that have to be learned and even the few "veteran" players we have pretty much have to start over at ground zero with the younguns, and learn a new playbook. It's gonna be a tough year, but IMHO I think we will see gradual improvement each and every week as the season progresses. That's really all I want to see out of this group - a fundamentally sound, disciplined team of players and coaches on the same freaking page, all working together. Keesler, I think you and I are on the same page. This year, even if we get beat in a game, I don't want to see another game in which I perceive that the guys gave up. I perceived that in the Uga game last year. No way to prove it but it felt that way to me. This year, I believe we will have a renewed fighting spirit that can go a long way toward winning against any team. In other words, I believe we'll just be tougher. AuburnNTexas 7,498
One key thing on D from what I have been hearing it is more of an attack D then a read D. Meaning the learning curve should be less. It is easier to teach a DT to penetrate 1 yd and mess things up then read this blocking scheme if he does this you do that but if this other guy does this ignore that and do this. It seems we are putting a premium on penetration and disruption more than reading. Before you say it I know even an attacking defense has to be aware of what other team is doing but it is still a simpler more aggressive system from what I have been hearing. This is IMHO Link to comment https://www.aufamily.com/topic/122041-need-help-understanding/#findComment-1579221 Share on other sites
